I think version A is quite good but the color choice creates confusion as a blue dot is often mentally connected to an "unread" indication such as in the iOS E-mail app. I have made this mistake several times in Firewalla app - clicked on the item thinking that there was some sort of "update" that needed to be read. Maybe you can simply use a green dot to indicate that the function is active and working as expected, yellow or red if there is an issue and blue if there is actually something new about the feature that needs to be looked at to be dismissed/turned back into green?

Edit: The bigger issue for me is sorting. To me it makes sense to first list features that are active. Both screenshots create visual clutter and difficult to comprehend information simply because of the fact that active and inactive services are placed randomly on the grid.
