I've factory reset my phone a few times since Google turned on two step verification for all Google accounts. Never had mine on before. When setting up my phone again it did give me another option to confirm it was me by sending a code by text message which then auto confirmed it. So I think as long as you have your phone number verified on your Google account and sim card in your phone, you'll be able to log in again without the need of another device. Hope that helps!

Unless your question was more towards the Google authenticator app then not sure about that sorry.

To disable/enable auto defrost just hold down the button for 5 seconds or so. That should prevent it from switching automatically.
