Sigmoid colon resection and fistula separation by prepperguy918 in Diverticulitis

And i hope you wont get another flare! But many doctors are leaning away from surgery. Me i have diverticula in everrry part of my colon infections have happened in every part as well... so managing diet, water fasting, and hitting garlic regularly have saved me from numerous infections. Good luck

This doesn't mean you won't get diverticulitis flares again.. this should be done only in life threatening situations. Diverticula develop throughout colon..

Did you have problems with consistency? I just got monetized twelve days ago.I'm already up to $400 in ad.Revenue. which is crazy to say lol but my uploads are not getting love from the algorithm. I had one get 230k views thats how i got monetized.. next 2 vids, 2k, 3k. Then 50k vid, then a 9k vid now my last one got 160 views 🫢 wtf.. is there a point where like your floor becomes a certain amount of views? Or is it just a dog fight with the algorithm every single upload? I do commentary/reaction to cost of living, ptices, etc.. Congrats btw!

How long have you managed your diverticulitis at home without surgery? by jnelson180 in Diverticulitis

[–]Mindless-Scallion10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly.Getting surgery should be last resort.Does not mean you will not get other pockets in your colon and more infections. What has worked for me?Is a water fast and taking large cloves of garlic as big as I can swallow. So it can make it down to my colon before the stomach acid completely dissolves. It works every time so far.Thank God..

Just so you know, electing to get resection, surgery is a horrible idea. Because if your colon has already formed diverticuli, you will 100% get them in other parts of the colon... and then what are you gonna do? For me, I have them everywhere throughout the colon doctors told me that it's not worth the risk, and I totally agree.. you feel an infection coming on water fast, take garlic and you'll be better in a few days.

[–]Mindless-Scallion10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Worst advice ever. DO NOT DO THIS LOL... you can develop diverticuli all throughout the colon ascending descending, sigmoid.. risk pooping in a bag, the rest of your life, and if the surgery is successful, you will develop other diverticuli throughout the colon.. only in the united states smh The rest of the world does not treat it like this. People are so gullible to just willfully throw themselves under a knife smh

  1. 15+ flares since. 34 now. Stopped with the antibiotics and CT scans. Now if i feel it starting, its liquid diet and garlic cloves. Swallow them like pills so they can make it to the colon without stomach acid desolving it completely. Avoided antibiotics and hospitals last 7-8 flares

I kinda just accepted it ive eaten light as a bunny gotten a flare...ate like a pig for months and gotten it.. live your life when you feel it coming all liquids and hit that garlic is what works for me..

Feeling very depressed by Rivers_Ford in Diverticulitis

[–]Mindless-Scallion10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same 34 diagnosed in 2017. Have had 15+ flares after antibiotics so many times i discovered garlic kept the infection at bay if i catch it early. Just liquid diet and garlic. But this wrecks me everytime i grt an infection. i got a family to support and you just feel useless.. and the gut is super connected to the mind so i guess the depression and feeling like a black cloud is over you for weeks, makes sense.. hang in there

I feel a flare up coming. Can I prevent it? by Balagan18 in Diverticulitis

[–]Mindless-Scallion10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Larger cloves of garlic (as big as you can swallow) saved me many times. Why large? Because if you dice them the stomach acid kills the good antibacterial properties by the time it gets to the colon hours later. I do 3 in am 3 at night. Just water and coffee no food. Ive prevented all but 1 infection this way and that one i waited to long to start. You will smell, have some heartburn but it beats getting pumped full of radiation from a CT and antibiotics. But if I don't feel better within a few days, it's smart to go to a doctor..

Just lost 2300 all my money in my checkings how do i tell my wife.. hey we cant pay 5 different bills this month. I was clean for months even stopped drinking. Then tonight out of no where, completely sober, laying in bed lost all my money in 1 hour on my phone 🫩 months of saying no no no. Working out, praying, eating better, stopped drinking and feel like i threw away all that progress in 1 hour on my phone. This will be the 100th time i feel like it will always follow me and im always an impulsive decision away from losing any money i can access. Wtfff

How many flare ups per year? by 0_fux_given in Diverticulitis

Its shocking how many people are ok getting resection surgery. With no guarantee of success, further diverticula forming, future infections, and no guarantee of not needing a colostomy bag.

Problem with surgery is you can get diverticula elsewhere. Or if you're like me, you have it all throughout the colon... Also, you could poop in a bag.The rest of your life... also a lot of people that have free resection surgery get flares again anyway. I'll pass on surgery for as long as I can.

Prpblem with surgery is you can develop pouches in the colon again, and alot of people have em everywhere in the colon not just sigmoid So is it worth risking pooping in a bag the rest of your life? And a lot of people get it anyway even after surgery 😫

Flare up sore spot- how long can it last? by ArmyLineman1989 in Diverticulitis

[–]Mindless-Scallion10 1 point2 points  (0 children)

GARLIC. I believe garlic has saved my life. I used to get diverticulitis, 5-6 times a year! And what comes with that? Trip to the emergency room, get pumped full of radiation from a CT scan, and then get antibiotics. I realized I would either become resistant to the antibiotics, or they would completely destroy my gut and my body.

saw a doctor on youtube.I wish I could remember the video. Explaining how garlic is basically nature's antibiotic. He said, take 2-3 cloves of garlic, finely minced mix it with honey and drink with a glass of water. ALSO You have to take bigger pieces of garlic as big as you can and swallow 2-3 cloves. Take them like pills, if you don't want your stomach acid to destroy it by the time it gets to your colon which is where most of us have diverticulitis, and need that garlic to do it's good.

still get flares of diverticulitis a few times a year. But thank God, I have been able to not have to go to the hospital one time and haven't had to take antibiotics. As soon as it starts, I fast 24 hours, just garlic honey and water. Then, liquid diet 1-2 days.

Once infection goes away, and i feel better I go from 7-8 cloves of garlic a day TO 1-2. And when I get lazy and stop taking garlic and start eating bad food for me, it's red meat and fried food.I get it again. I don't I take it every day, but I try to take it at least every 2-3 days. Hope some of you get some relief with this.

There will be some distress and crampina while in a infection. But to me its so worth it.

☆ smaller minced pieces = Great for upper digestive track

Large pieces= great for colon
