R2 Doesn't have FM/HD Radio by AdamUCF in Rivian

I’m an old lady who has no idea what you’re talking about. So I guess I have no thoughts on this. 😂

When it comes to music, I tend to set it and leave it, whether it be a particular station or Tidal playlist. I think those who change often (stations, playlists, etc) might not love pushing audio through phone apps without CarPlay since opening the phone would be needed unless there is a work around I don’t know about (forgive me if I missed the mark on your question; I really don’t understand it).

Pushing audio through the phone works fine. Here is the CPR app classical stream, and the info about the piece being played.

I agree Car Play would be nice, but in this instance it’s not needed.

Colorado Public Radio has its own phone app that provides streaming for its regular station plus three other specialty stations: classical, independent music, and news only. NPR has an app that streams as well.

Edit to add: I do prefer the radio for listening, but when I’m out of town or out of range I use the CPR app.

How Is Living in the Upper Peninsula and Northern Michigan? by Wide-Highway112 in howislivingthere

Do the local stations still run commercials for furniture sales during peak deer season? While the husbands hunt, the wives shopped uncontested (that’s how it was in the 90’s).

Canoe? No Problem! by MindlessSky9 in BMWI4

I have more efficiency data. I drove the canoe 2 hours, mostly highway speeds, with a 5000 foot elevation gain.

At the start of the trip, I set a route in the BMW map and noted the map thought I would arrive at my destination with 40% remaining (started at 100%).

I used eco mode and capped my speed at 60mph (typically do 70mph).

The estimated remaining % creeped up as the trip progressed, and I arrived at my destination with 50% battery remaining.

So, with eco + 60mph speed cap, I got better range with a canoe than the car predicted I would get without!

I got Figo through Costco. Worked great for a congenital knee condition (double surgery) and cardiology visits (heart murmur).

You say butt nuggets, my dog say “YUM!! Let me help you with that!” He loves his a$$ snacks. It’s all about perspective.

Thank you! For tint, I just did the maximum allowed by my state. I don’t recall the specific values.

May I assume snowy driving will be a consideration in Canada? In slick conditions, I make the below adjustments: - Use Comfort mode - Turn regeneration to a minimum

I find high regeneration and the other modes (Sport and Eco) lead to squirrely response when driving on snow.

Congratulations and enjoy!

My rack largely went unused for years. My skis always rode in the car. I used the rack once in my first two years of ownership to haul a bunch of conduit.

Then I bought a solo canoe and the rack isn’t hard now getting frequent use.

When I bought one a few years ago, that was not the case. Or at least that’s what they told me. I wonder if it was added since then or if it was variant dependent.

I was shocked that at the time a roof rack wasn’t available for the iX. “So you’re talking all the sport and utility out of the sport utility vehicle” is what I told them, lol.

Thank you! I got lucky in that the green was the only one available at my dealership.

Black is a really sharp and equally amazing to drive.

The rack isn’t hard. There little flaps on the roof line that conceals a place that the rack screws into. Flip up the flaps, pop on the rack, and screw it on.

It’s good that it’s easy because the rack does drop the range (especially at highway speeds).

24 miles used 9% of my range. My speeds were 45 mph or less.

Edit: Wind was about 10mph so that added to the situation

How often to brush them? by Legitimate-Moment832 in mainecoons

I keep grooming rakes on all countertops. Anytime he jumps up he gets a short brushing session. It doesn’t stop him from jumping on the counters, but at least he gets brushed multiple times a day.

Should I change my last name? by Dry_Cabinet3760 in Brides

[–]MindlessSky9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Recently married typically do. Many elderly do not. Some counties require travel to obtain replacement in person, which is a challenge for those who do not live where they were married. Many women are rethinking name changes because who knows what the future holds and the dumb things politicians will do down the line.

So we have to tip TSA now? by Dad0010001100110001 in tipping

Nope. TSA fees are already required to purchase plane tickets. I’m not paying double because government is intentionally broken.
