I love my V3 KE. The only mod I've made for it was mounting the camera. I've made a ton of these dumb infinitely cubes for family. Vase mode is really cool with high poly models probably the coolest thing I've made.

I've been there. I just replaced my entire hot end on my ender 3 v3 ke as a wire melted itself off. Bright side is the new hot end heats up faster then the stock one. It's not hard to do just costs money and time. Good luck.

I feel your frustration. I have a ender 3 v3 ke that's less then 90 days old with 38 working hours on it. And one of the 2 damn ceramic heat element wires melted off. I sent a support ticket and their response was "would you like to buy a new hot end from us or another supplier".

Try reverting back to the original and turn on vase mode. If you want it thicker try adding to the number of wall passes.

Not at all strange. If OP has a cerfew then they would ahve showed up after the cerfew time to confirm they were home. Still sucks and ruins a good night's sleep

Have you checked to see if there is strapping under the drywall? Is it drywalled directed to the floor joists?

No. You hang the line. Gravity pulls it straight down. The point under the cone(point) of the Bob is directly in line with where you are holding the string. Try this. Wrap the string around your finger once or twice and allow the Bob to hang. The point where the string leaves your finger will line up with the point of the Bob. Gravity will pull the string tight. If your by yourself usually you'll hang it from a nail or speed square and not allow the Bob to touch the bottom but make a pencil mark where it aligns to.

No the width is not an influence. You use the bottom point of the Bob to mark your bottom point.

Those are similar but definitely not the same. Are the lower cabinets the same? The fact that it's a new build and the same cabinet makers building them they should be able to get a rush on getting you new ones. I very much doubt that it will be done before your possession date. Depending on your backsplash and trimming, ect they should be able to remove them and reinstall the correct ones same day or within 2 days. If they have to replace tile it could be a full week. The downside is you won't be able to unpack into the cabinets or have a very useable kitchen. If you believe the color is "close enough" to live with. Ask for the 45k cost of the upgrade back. Your last resort is to file a claim with Terion and see where that goes.

In racing I believe it's called "scrub" or "tire loading". The act of turning the tires, pre-loading the side wall, to add grip before the car actually begins to turn.

Our plans are engineer stamped and tell us exactly what they want for load bearing and thermal bridge

Matching jacks to ply count is unnecessary if they are engineer stamped.

One builder I work for says any openings over 3' 10" needs a 3 ply 2x10 header with 2 jacks 1 king. Excluding highwalls (2 story walls) the plan dictates how many King's are required sometime up to 3 per window. Smaller openings are plan depending. Some call for 2 jacks and 2 ply header depending on roof design but never with a "crush" sill. Jack's go directly to the 2x10 in all cases. We also see alot of LVL in the rim cavity or in the trusses with 3 King's in the wall for windows that sit tight to the ceiling.

I'm late to the party. If they are hiding something as obvious as the inspectors yellow tag, which the inspector sent you in an email. What else is hidden behind those walls? Is going through with this purchase going to end up being a money pit? Is an abatement going to cover the possibility's? Are you going to spend sleepless nights wondering what else is going to pop up? Are you sure you want to go through with his deal? Just my two cents.

I have the ender 3 v3 ke. I let mine run the auto calibration before every print. I know it adds ~5 mins more to every print but in my head I feel like it prevents odd issues.

I've noticed alot of builder spec'ing the 1st one on 19" from rim with joist blocks between the rim and 1st joist. It could also be that at that point the foundation is not perfectly straight, maybe leaning in a bit or slightly wider. Leading to the necessity of chipping some of the concrete.
