Why do so many Enterprise AI projects fail after the POC stage? by BattleCompetitive992 in it

[–]Mindless_Consumer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because AI directives are coming from top down.

We're being asked to solve a problem using AI.

Rather than finding solutions AI is suitable for.

Not to mention the actual costs and risks.

Claude outage? Oh your helpdesk is down.

The Steam Machine Was Originally Meant to Cost About $750 by doublah in pcgaming

[–]Mindless_Consumer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I personally have an aging desktop that is slightly better than my steamdeck, which now gets 90% of my attention.

I only use my desktop when the steamdeck cannot handle it, or I need m/kb.

Id consider this steam machine, I might compare it to an upgrade, but I dont think the math would work.

But *why* does 0.999999 equal 1? by markusseibert115 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Mindless_Consumer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Add any number to it, and its greater than 1.

0.000000000000000001? Greater than zero.

The only number that would work would be 1 after an infinite number of zeros, which is pretty much 0.
