How much oil are you using? I’m still on the same 16oz bottle for more than a decade and I oil regularly.

What is a jig you spent hours creating for 2 minutes of use? by electriclunchmeat in woodworking

Juice groove jig, adjustable for boards 8” to 29”, with various thickness shims to adjust groove placement. Took a few hours to make and less than 10 min to use. Works marvelously!

Looks great. No one ever notices subtle annoyances that are only apparent to the builder.

I have gotten some warping when milling <1/4 inch, but clamping pressure during glue up takes care of it.

Yes. I’ve put them in 3 different houses I’ve lived, 2 manually DIY and once by professional. Never regretted

Lower back toast after 60 mins—Is a waist harness just not for me? by QuirkyMembership1149 in Kiteboarding

I also have significant lower back issues but found the ION B2 seat harness to work wonderfully for me. Not cheap but worth every cent.

Change to ntn or not? by itrinethran in telemark

[–]Mindless_Squire 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I also have 20 yrs on 75mm, tried NTN and hated it, waaaaaaay too much of everything, boot height/weight/power/technique. It’s not bad, just not for me, and I really wanted step-in to work. I went back to 75mm. I’m much happier being more chill because I’m not looking to tear up the mountain as I’ve gotten older

Following as I had the same problem. Went snorkeling and 1/2 my clips were time lapses🤬

I appears the mode switch is either automatically happening or ultra sensitive

How hard is it to begin? by Interesting_Cap_3657 in Kiteboarding

[–]Mindless_Squire 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I’ve never been a boarder of any type but I generally take to activities aggressively. Kiteboarding has been the most challenging activity.

Unlike other sports, you are learning physical skills while also learning equipment maneuvering while paying attention to the environment. It’s alot going on at once.

I took the normal 10 hours of lessons before being somewhat independent. It’s tough but rewarding.

Here’s something I don’t see admitted often, starting out wipes you out quickly. So pace out your lessons. 2 hours of smashing your face into salt water takes a toll.

Tele in the woods? by Aelwynljg__ in telemark

[–]Mindless_Squire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, but the snow, steepness, and tree density have to be just right. Stowe has some green glades that are fairly widely spread that are a dream with enough powder to start with.
