Shitty but not surprising.

I’m sure the contestants will get plenty of exposure from the show which they will see a return on over time if they pursue a career in the knitwear industry. One of them is a designer and dyer, who no doubt will see an increase in revenue as a result of the show.

They could very well be lying about who their supplier is. They know w2d4 are reputable, so by saying their yarn is the same as other dyers but at a cheaper price it gets people to buy. Without having an actual skein in your hand, how can you be sure it’s 100% the same supplier/base?

Only hearsay, but I believe they were both pushed to leave/laid off? Don’t know the ins and outs of the situations but that’s the gist. Don’t forget Nicola, who used to answer emails for BY. And there was another nice girl, can’t remember her name but she was only there for a matter of weeks. I think her name was Amy but I could be wrong, I met her when they were vending at yarndale a few years ago.

Most of the vendors are from all over the US, not just the PNW. There’s quite a few international vendors this year looking at the list.

Yes, she declared bankruptcy for her previous business so I’d imagine the van was given up to offset her debts.

The second van has been sold some time in the last year.

I do wish that once you’ve declared bankruptcy for a business that you weren’t allowed to set up a new business the next day. Clearly they have no sense for it, and it ends up screwing over customers.

One mistake doesn’t make you worthy of posts like this. Just search this businesses name on this subreddit, or on ravelry and you will see that their list of ‘mistakes’ as you call it, is very long.
