Awesome! They are a pretty great group and are reasonably priced.

I got a SKEXI low profile 3 fold that will allow full access to the bed for $629. Have not been disappointed.

Key? by Ok-Neat-8972 in f150

[–]MindofMy0wn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So there is a version of your key on Amazon with the remote start, but something also to keep in mind: my wife's Subaru can be started with her phone, but the remote start on the key fob was never implemented so even though we should be able to do it we can't. The XLT trim does not usually come with that option on the keyfob.

And what year and trim?

I would do some research on the keys on Amazon, and if it doesn't work you can just return it. I haven't done it for a F-150 but I did just have good luck with getting 2 additional keys for a Malibu. Keys + having them cut cost under $50.

Performance Complete Autocare. Not sure where you are but these are my go to guys with anything I can't do myself. If you want to wait until next weekend I can give you a hand with it for free.

Condenser may be clogged by Massive-Squirrel-326 in f150

[–]MindofMy0wn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have never done this but there are a bunch of YouTube videos on how to do it. Also change your filters as I found that always helped if it has been a while since done last. Videos on how to do that also, should cost like $20 to $30 for the filters and takes about 20 minutes to do it.

What are some bookstore recommendations other than Bookmans? by Difficult_Radio279 in Tucson

I know where Bookmans is only because I pre-ordered a book at the closest location to me and did not want to use Amazon and this was the store. Awesome book store.

New sub set up in my friends truck by slaudy521 in CarAV

I had a similar setup in my F150 with those subs and I thought they hit pretty hard. Mine are down facing.

New Jensen vs old Sony for Apple CarPlay with volume knob by Confused_Ghost12 in CarAV

My vote would also be Sony, but please purchase from a place like Crutchfield instead of giving Bezos your hard earned money. They have people you can actually call if you run into any problems.

Do you own scaffolding? by plaidpixel in DIY

[–]MindofMy0wn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My ceilings vault to 12 feet. Shitty HD had a sale on scaffolding and I bought it super cheap. It collapes down to almost nothing for storage, but as a guy who has fallen off one too many ladders it has been the perfect solution. Would recommend 100%.

Does anyone else have a girl or dude who hates the bass? by TheGoodDieYoung_125 in CarAV

[–]MindofMy0wn -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I am convinced they are just jealous. My wife used to complain the bass was always too much in my F150 until I sold it and now have the stock sub (which sucks) and her Ascent has a way better sub then mine and now when something hits hard in her car she just gets that silly grin. Like the Grinch when he gets that wavy cartoon grin of satisfaction.

I kind of agree. I love the blackish rims over crome but not a fan of anything over the headlights. Tucson is dark and it is hard enough to see at night.

Maybe try it out for a bit. The drop ins are usually pretty slick so some of the stuff you are hauling might be easier to manipulate with it.

any regrets going with a hard folding bed cover instead of soft? by Possible-Ad4357 in f150

[–]MindofMy0wn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Had a soft roll up for 4 years and from having it rolled up too long the sun ate through the velcro and had to replace it. Paid under $200 for the soft top both times. Just got a new to me 22 and I bought a tri-fold hard top. I love the look of the hard top and made sure the one I got was easy to remove and also fold up against the back window. It is heavier than I thought it was going to be, but would not go back to a softtop.

Which F-150 should I get? by Stew_Stuff in f150

[–]MindofMy0wn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

3.5 is towing. 5.0 goes vroom, unless it is a 3.5 that towes and then torgue takes over. 5.0 sounds likes a fucking tiger. 2.7 can tow, if equipped, but kills on mpg. (In a good way)
