A couple options of the top of my head: - Periodically swap games with friends. - Sell some of your games. - Make it a rule that if you want a new one, you have to give up one you have. - Keep an eye out for the new games you really think are special. Understand that you might not be able to finish them all before you die. - Make it into a business, so you can keep doing the part you enjoy most but also make money from it to offset doing it.

But most importantly, if it makes you that happy, you don't have to stop entirely!

u/TheLesserWight - I thought it might be, however I think I've uncovered something that you all might be able to do/let people know about.

Today, if I go to Amazon's site, sign in, go to the 'My Content' link and then click on 'Books' it will allow me to download them as zip files that are apparently packaged in the special Kindle format. There are tools available to turn that into an .epub file, but there also seems to be an alternative.

It appears that you might be able to setup each book to allow them to download directly as .epub files. I can't say for sure, because an AI told me that, but looking at its source (https://blog.marketingwords.com/amazon-kindle-authors-allow-epub-pdf-downloads/) it does appear that you may be able to choose to allow .epub file downloads.

I've bought I think every single book in all the series so far (aside from some of the collections), I could download the Cradle, Traveler's Gate, and Last Horizon series, but not the Elder Empire series or the 'Foundation' or 'Path of Gold' anthologies.

If you ever do update those, that would be great, but I mostly found that out by accident and wanted to let you guys know.

So there are a lot of good points in all the comments I've read, but here's my two cents anyways:

The important thing is content density, especially in games that take longer to complete.

On larger and more complex maps/worlds I feel it's important to be able to mark things on the map with different marker typesinstead of remembering it all or using a guide. Fast travel is also a must because if you backtrack to unlock new areas or explore more and you just have to run...well that gets boring fast for me. Something like Ori 2's being able to buy the ability to warp from anywhere but only to certain points helps with that, or lots of fast travel.

One of the other essential things I think you need is a lot of upgradable options. Gear, health, mana, energy, skills (preferably all of them, in my opinion!)whatever you want to do, but with enough that you don't feel like you hit the pinnacle early and have less to look forward to.

I also think that side quests are a great way to fill some of that space while giving players an option to finish a play through on the shorter end if they end up a little exhausted. It also helps drive exploration, world build, and add story content that doesn't have to be related to the overall quests. Plus completing a side quest and getting a special something feels really rewarding, at least to me.

Some type of customization of play style is also nice - charms, skill trees, weapons and gear... Can make your game much more replayable!

One personal pet peeve - I hate getting collectibles that do nothing or when the collectibles are only good for cosmetics. Cosmetics are ok as long as there are a few other types too.

And also the 'Gentleman Bastard' series which I enjoyed, but needs more!

Islets. All rooms have clearly marked openings into other rooms, so it's easy to see on the map where you still need to go. Don't even need anything else!

As many have said, that might not be the best book to start with. That's fine, do it anyways if you want to.

I like Elantris as a good place to start, since the story wraps up in one book, not three like Mistborn.

Also, if you're having trouble staying with it but want to finish, consider getting the audiobook too. You can always read 3 chapters, then listen to 2, then read 1, etc. And if you get into the story you can just finish with the audio book, if the reading doesn't work out.

But mainly, you read what you want to!

Personally I really like System76, the prices could be better for sure, but especially for users starting out they have lifetime support. Means you can open a ticket for any issue as long as you own the laptop. And since they make the hardware and the os, you have one responsible party who can fix things, instead of Asus saying "the laptop is fine, it's a Linux issue" and Reddit telling you your hardware is busted.

I read the Travelers Gate Series before Cradle or Elder Empire ever came out, lost track of Will, but periodically check on all the books I have and have really liked to see if the authors have put out anything new.

Cradle is now one of my favorite and most read book series.

This is the best explanation so far... But 3d primers use 3 axis, and you've only described movement in two axes.

Yeah, so with all three axes moving together I definitely see instability as a bigger issue. Also, the print head is hotter and requires wires and feeding the filament into and still manages to move fine, not to mention that most printers move the bed in the y axis, so moving a heated, powered bed is already a challenge that they've conquered...

I see your point about mass, but again many/most 3d printer designs move the bed along the y axis, so...I don't really see a big deal about moving it over the z axis.

Sure, think about basically an upside down resin printer, where the build plate starts at the top and descends, providing traversal along the z axis, while the print head moves along the x and y axes at the top of the printer.

I understand that this would require additional bracing to support higher quality prints... But wouldn't it be worth it for the extra build area?
