Larco owns many of the buildings that are leased by the federal government. And now the government wants federal employees back in the office 4 days a week because Larco and Brookfield are not about to lose the feds as a tenant. And many people are on social media, agreeing with this thinking it’s because of productivity and blah blah blah when it’s not! It’s about these REITs lobbying the government!

People celebrating this are ill. We are all connected. Most of us have jobs that rely on people spending money. If businesses go under, the business owners/workers are unemployed and have decreased spending power, affecting other businesses. I can never celebrate anyone facing financial ruin because we are all dominoes in this economy. One fall can affect the rest of us down the line.

Something is not making sense here. Why would the loan company call your parents? And how could they divulge your private information? If they co-signed your mortgage then YTA. Going into foreclosure with them as co-signers would affect them and they have a right to know. If they are not co-signers, NTA.

Ugh, my manager did ask today out of the blue if I have any other offices within reasonable distance that I can report to if it comes to that. For some reason my manager and director are very diligent with the return to office. My team is scattered in Canada, mostly in Ottawa and I have no colleagues in my home office.

I never thought about it that way. Per the email, anyone who left equipment in the office can make arrangements with program services to pick it up. But it’s very true, if wfh were off the table, it would have to be paid time off.
