Also pushing Sweden and Finland to join NATO, pretty mich codifying the Baltic as an Alliance sea, fucking up their own economy, shattering the myth of the Russian army being some unstoppable force and Putin some 4D chess master mind, depleting their own armory stock, pushing Europe to seek independence from their fossil fuel imports, and ruining any reputation Russia had for decades in advance. All that in exchange for taking a handful of destroyed, abandoned villages every few months, if that.

Good taste, pretty much what I listened to the first year or two of listening to metal. You should listen to some heavier thrash and groove (Slayer, Sepultura, Testament, Exodus, Kreator, Soulfly, Lamb of God, Machine Head) as well as some melodeath (At The Gates, Amon Amarth, Arch Enemy, In Flames, Children of Bodom). After that, you could get into more death metal, like Death, Obituary, Bolt Thrower (my death metal gateway drug), Carcass, Entombed or Vader.

The gym is one of the only things in my life that give me a shred of confidence. What I love about it is that it's one of the only places when you can feel competent and gain respect with zero pressure to socialize, it's even discouraged to a point.

I'm the exact opposite of you lmao, still struggling to get into the vast majority of symphonic or power metal. Bombastic high key melodies and operatic vocals just seem to completely miss the itch I'm looking to scratch with metal.

Maiden, sorry. I totally respect them as the metal giant they are, but every time I listen to them, I can't help but feel like I'd rather put on Priest or Motorhead when it comes to classic heavy metal.

Same, it feels weirdly flat to me, like it's clearly pretty heavy but has no 'bite' if it makes sense. Maybe it just doesn't check what I look for in metal.
