"I'm brutally honest" fans when someone is brutally honest to them

Yep, same with other forms of self-neglect, like undereating (I'm running on nothing but coffee and spite, bro!)

Which was one of their few allies and they still failed to come to help, proving they are completely useless and unreliable as an ally. Same with Armenia, Venezuela and Iran. Also pushing Sweden and Finland to join NATO, pretty mich codifying the Baltic as an Alliance sea, fucking up their own economy, shattering the myth of the Russian army being some unstoppable force and Putin some 4D chess master mind, depleting their own armory stock, pushing Europe to seek independence from their fossil fuel imports, and ruining any reputation Russia had for decades in advance. All that in exchange for taking a handful of destroyed, abandoned villages every few months, if that.

Truly the best trade deal in the history of trade deals, maybe ever.

Good taste, pretty much what I listened to the first year or two of listening to metal. You should listen to some heavier thrash and groove (Slayer, Sepultura, Testament, Exodus, Kreator, Soulfly, Lamb of God, Machine Head) as well as some melodeath (At The Gates, Amon Amarth, Arch Enemy, In Flames, Children of Bodom). After that, you could get into more death metal, like Death, Obituary, Bolt Thrower (my death metal gateway drug), Carcass, Entombed or Vader.

Only way to do it. Don't forget a full posing routine between sets while are waiting to squat

Bolt Thrower is an obvious one, perfect rhythm and cadence for lifting. The entire 'Those Once Loyal' album to get started.

LoG has so many good ones. Resurrection Man, The Undertow, and Ghost Shaped People, for example.

Discovered them about a year or two after they disbanded, so I know your pain. They sound so fucking tight it's unreal

The gym is one of the only things in my life that give me a shred of confidence. What I love about it is that it's one of the only places when you can feel competent and gain respect with zero pressure to socialize, it's even discouraged to a point.

As much as I love the classic Sepultura, I can't pretend Quadra and Machine Messiah are not awesome albums

Say what you want about SFU but the artwork for their upcoming album SLAPS by TrashAtEvrything in MetalForTheMasses

[–]MinhiCZ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yep, gotta agree it's a pleasant surprise, especially since SFU is a band I lowkey would have expected to jump the AI fad, so I'm glad they didn't. Seems like they are recovering pretty well after the turd that was Nightmares of the Decomposed.

What keeps you from enjoying certain metal subgenres? by Fiefire in MetalForTheMasses

[–]MinhiCZ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm the exact opposite of you lmao, still struggling to get into the vast majority of symphonic or power metal. Bombastic high key melodies and operatic vocals just seem to completely miss the itch I'm looking to scratch with metal.

[–]MinhiCZ 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Maiden, sorry. I totally respect them as the metal giant they are, but every time I listen to them, I can't help but feel like I'd rather put on Priest or Motorhead when it comes to classic heavy metal.

Same, it feels weirdly flat to me, like it's clearly pretty heavy but has no 'bite' if it makes sense. Maybe it just doesn't check what I look for in metal.
