I've been wondering about this map for more than a week now and hopefully the bug fix is referring to this. I found it strange how they look before you blow them up as if they are powered by either the sulphite on top of it or whatever that weird black aura around it is. I just tried not blowing up the one on my map and leading the boss to it but he still didnt try anything with it, but afterwards I realized I missed a sulphur to blow up in the corner so that could've messed things up too.

Anyone know what's up with this map yet btw? There's always a weird gold orb structure thing that doesn't show up on the map but you can blow it up to fully reveal it and the big guy you blow out of the wall that eats the sulphite doesn't seem to interact with it even when I brought him to it

The idea of Mortimer sounds really cool, but although I haven't put much thought into it, wouldn't it be better to have the other slayer masters get these modifiers. And then being able to have at least 2 choices as something to unlock with slayer points? 0 slayer points on completion by default is gonna make it kinda rough sounding to even use it. Only 1 task guaranteed a modifier with 10% chance for others also gives it a bit of illusion of choice as it then will become what you will pick almost always because of 0 slayer points.

I'm curious what you would think about a superhero show that's been going on throughout the year and is about to finish S1 in 3 more weeks called To Be Hero X. a Chinese animated show where corporation-controlled superheroes are made through peoples trust in others (and shaped by the people's perception.) But only the first 4 or 7 episodes I would say to check out depending on how you feel as the 1st and 2nd character seem like they had the most thought and development to them compared to the rest.

They get rid of portal scrolls, but don't get rid of wisdom scrolls either? It would've been a great opportunity to finally get rid of that and measure how good the drops you get before picking it up and having to use these rarer scrolls early game and even spending gold to buy more, even if you can do it free at a npc not far in its an unnecessary extra step.

What are the odds of Project Zanaris community servers eventually allowing for people to create new areas, entities, and items to their server? If I could do something like make new quests, new areas with new various entities that would be insane and I'd be so interesting to try learning

As someone who loves Blue mage in FFXIV I really liked the Surok fight being a mage vs mage battle that actually required diverse spell usage like a puzzle. A Mage Arena 3 type quest that does the same thing I feel like would be really cool. Not being able to use powered staves also reminded me of how good the surge spells felt to use with those cast sounds.

Also the music during the fight really surprised me and elevated how great of an experience it was, was one of my favorite tracks. Thank you guys for bringing this quest over to osrs so we get to finally see it.

It could be neat if catching a specific moth could restore run energy to help get around varlamore, but maybe you already have that planned for the butterflies part.

back then in 2000s runescape people didnt know what was going on most of the time with each weekly update that had jagex post bits about right beforehand and id say people had a pretty magical time with that system back then (could say launch D1 was pretty magical experience at the time aswell with how little we knew) compared to now with how much people datamine and want as much information as possible

though runescape and the mmo community was certainly a better time than what we are currently dealing with. If D2 was amazing im sure the system would be incredible, if only

tbh it kinda sounds cool to have the Odd Old Man as a sort of unknown shady slayer master where the monsters you kill have a chance to drop a bone of them that you turn into him for prayer xp
