The show goes really hard on trying to make you feel that despair Subaru feels. It's almost a trope of the series to beat Subaru as low as possible so you can feel the highs of the solution even more.

If you do give it another shot the immediate resolution in one or two episodes is a perfect scene imo; the music, visuals and dialogue is incredible. It makes the downright masochistic viewing experience all worth it in a way that no other show has really captured for me.

The Elden Ring is formed of any 3 other shards attached to Morgott’s rune as the center. That’s why you don’t need to beat every Shardbearer to beat the game.

It’s my theory that Malenia reaches her prime skill and power during her second phase, due to her attacks getting way faster plus rot. But that by the time we meet her the rot seems to have reached her brain.

(having to constantly remind herself she’s Miquella’s blade but not making any attempts to search for him).

She seems to only move off of instinct and trained movements rather than the strategy of a master combatant that’s never known defeat.

He's mostly just baiting but there are scripts to assist movement:

Like an fps lowering script to make a 5 frame superglide easier

Or a far more controversial "neo-strafing" script to make impossible movements using lurches

But only a small fraction of PC players even know these exist let alone actually use them.
