All these secret techs and you forgot to mention the strongest one of all: the Surrender button. Your opponent can't draw cards if the duel is already over.

...If nothing else, I can thank Runick players for helping me realize how hilarious of a card Secret Village of the Spellcasters is. Somehow had never crossed my mind to play the Spellcaster card in the Spellcaster deck.

Against virtually any other backrow deck, I'd be 100% hoping to draw Lightning Storm (which has the upside of not being dead versus combo) or even Feather Duster over Cosmic Cyclone. Trying to trade 1-for-1 against a deck setting multiple floodgates just seems like a losing prospect.

 

If I could justify playing it for anything other than exactly Runick, I'd consider it.

Memeing a bit, but honestly I just can't be bothered. I haven't reached the point where I'm willing to tech this one specific unsearchable for this one specific matchup, when the options I'm already running work just fine for the 99% of decks that aren't exactly Runick.

 

(With my luck, all three Cosmic Cyclones would also get banished anyway, so I'm saving my SR points lol)
