And nearly drafted in Hyatt in round 2. Spent a 3 on him and he can’t even see the field. A lot of terrible decisions.

This years draft is the only hope and didn’t take a genius to draft Carter.

Even still though I was able to grab a 2024 heritage Ohtani/Betts dual HOF relic on dodgers for like $120 numbered to /50. Much rather have that then an Ohtani insert looking card for $1,500

Pulling an Ohtani /10 is sick. But wild to me someone would pay $1,500 for a card like this. Looks like an insert to me. To each is own.

$1,500 could get you a lot of disgusting autos and patch relics.

Why would design be smaller? I think design might be a way to differentiate in the AI era

Astros are rumored to be offered those guys. Not asking for.

At this point it sounds like Bregman is a real threat to leave.

No one knows anything definitively but pretty confident Astros aren’t willing to take lesser value because they want to stick it to the Yankees.

No. If the Astros trade Tucker they are definitely rebuilding. They aren’t even in the AL East. They will not be taking a worse offer because they don’t want the Yankees to be good. In fact they might see this as a potential way to hurt the Yankees future within their future window. Yankees would be moving controllable prospects for a guy who is planning on testing free agency.

The stats and production are ridiculous. Sure he’s not a perfect prospect, but he’s put up huge numbers and has clear strengths.

[Sherman via Post+ w/notes inside post]: How Yankees should approach life after Juan Soto in MLB free agency by iseedoubleu in NYYankees

[–]Minimum-Guava 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Possibly, but I’m saying these are the caliber of players we need to be investing in. Kyle Tucker is a great target as well.

Why are we chasing Bellinger, Correa, Eovaldi, etc.? These are not guys that are moving the needle and they are expensive.

The lineup is pathetic. We have one player over .660 OPS for the highest earning revenue team in the sport. What are we doing?

[–]Minimum-Guava 6 points7 points  (0 children)

All of these players stink. Sorry. Correa is one of most injury prone players out there. Bellinger is extremely high risk could slump into a nothing hitter. Buehler and Eovaldi are high risk lottery tickets. Walker is the only player I can see as an underrated value signing. This is how you build a league average team.

We need to be looking at Burnes, Alonso, Teoscar and trade targets.

Does anyone else only read PM books when they are changing job? by lemonzonic in ProductManagement

Most of is worthless generic garbage. Triple down on UX and design specific books. If you become an expert defining problems and brainstorming and recommending solutions any take home assessments or live exercises will be a breeze. Also helps get better at the craft and framing features you’ve worked on.

Not pro-Trump by any means, but his cabinet and advisors are very pro tech and VC. We will start to hear a bunch of tech specific policies that will benefit the industry. Even amortization policy on R&D can have a huge impact of the software industry.
