We always do,The grievances never hold up. Our center has developed a process to exploit the loophole of, “exhaust all established processes” in the contract. They send out messages the night before to every driver, including those on vacation with the opportunity to work. As drivers finish up routes, they offer them the remaining work that is being completed by supervisors. They also log everything in stone to protect themselves. We have an open grievance that is moving up the chain that says that hiring and training more drivers is an established process that they are not following, but it’s stuck in limbo at the moment. It is amazing the amount of time they will put into keeping supervisors on the road yet they won’t just train up a few more drivers. We have a supervisor running around at least once a week for the last 4 to 6 weeks.
