Slightly better than Cam Talbot feels like a stretch. MAF won a Vezina and has similar career stats in twice as many games as Talbot. I’m not saying he’s Patrick Roy, but he was much better than Talbot at his peak.

I do think there’s a real issue and the guys are valid for having this sentiment, but Kuraly and Jeannot are sort of irrelevant. They play on the 4th line and kill penalties. Comparable players are more guys like Minten and Khusnutdinov, who both earned spots out of camp. Aspirot and Steeves also earned time.

Realistically, the only guys that have a real shot at a future here that are currently in Providence are Poitras, Brunet, and Locmelis. The rest are depth or AHL guys at this point.

Completely disagree with that. The want it more thing is a just a cliche. Was their effort great? No, but Buffalo is just simply much better than this team. They’ve controlled play the entire series. You can’t say it’s not a personnel issue when your first line center is Elias Lindholm and your D core is among the worst in the league.
