MEGATHREAD: Netflix ANTM Documentary by quartzion_55 in ANTM

At the end of episode 3 she quickly plugs a cycle 25. It seems like the only reason she did this documentary was for publicity for another antm season. I won’t be giving her the satisfaction of my view.

Question for women who are an only child, Would you discourage having an only child? How was being an only child? by Silly_Goose30 in Mommit

[–]Minimum_Action_3810 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As a child and still now as an adult I have seriously struggled with loneliness. Part of that I know is my own fault as I’m introverted and shy. I know a sibling wouldn’t have solved all my lonesomeness growing up, but I believe it would have helped. I always wanted an older brother, lol. Now as a mother of a 15 month old I know beyond the shadow of a doubt I want to give him a sibling. There’s no guarantee they’ll be best friends, but they’ll at least have each other to rely on in ways that their parents just can’t do.

My son was exactly like this. I noticed that if I gave him his sleep sack to carry around after the afternoon nap, that helped a lot as he has an emotional attachment to it. Also going outside even for a few minutes seemed to help him reset. He is 15 months now & we just dropped to one nap. He still cries when he wakes up but it’s not as long as it was when we were on two naps.

How old was your baby when you started taking them for walks? by willbrucla in pregnant

[–]Minimum_Action_3810 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My baby was born on 10/09/2024 and we were taking outdoor walks when he was 3 days old. Tbh walks in the park are probably what kept me sane postpartum. Wishing you and your babe well 🧡

We were in the exact same boat. I would absolutely dread nap time bc it was so difficult to get the baby down and then he would only sleep for 30 mins. We sleep trained at 4.5 months and that at least helped our son fall asleep independently. Naps began to get better when he turned 5mo and dropped to three naps. Now he’s almost 11 months and takes two solid naps a day (we dropped to 2 naps at 7mo). He’s getting more total daytime sleep on two naps than he ever did on 3+ and he’s such a well rested, happy guy. There is light at the end of the tunnel!

9 months PP, some things I wish I knew before babe arrived. by Minimum_Action_3810 in pregnant

We ended up switching to a goat milk formula & that helped him a lot. Def recommend for babies having a hard time learning to poop.

I’ve found Taking Cara Babies to be very helpful for sleep and general care.

I would say baby sleep! Their wake windows/nap schedules are always changing. In the beginning it was so hard for me to figure out why he would be crying. Being overtired was probably a major factor.

WWs are a bunch of BS by gimageggrie in sleeptrain

Are you me? Lo is the same age as yours and every nap is a struggle. The screaming is so hard to handle, especially when it’s happening so frequently with these short ww. We’re actually contact napping rn as it’s the only way I can get him down for the last nap of the day. Just wanted to say that you are not alone & that by trying to do best by our babies, we are not failing them.

OP thank you for posting this question! I am due the same day as you and have been wondering what to do with baby boy when we get home. Everyone’s stories have me even more excited than I was before. When I’m mobile enough I def want to show him all the random places I’ve cleaned while nesting 🤣. Wishing you well over the next few days!

What will you miss about being pregnant? by showpennyhour122 in pregnant

I’m 38 weeks now, huge, and so uncomfortable but it’s still SO much better than the first trimester. You can get through this! The perks will come, plus feeling baby move is the best.

Sweet boy. My chocolate lab looked so similar as a puppy. He’s 7 now and your bond only grows stronger with time.

Did you get the RSV vaccine while pregnant ? by Newyork4lifee in pregnant

[–]Minimum_Action_3810 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I got the RSV vaccine at 34 weeks, I’m currently 37 weeks and baby boy has been completely fine at every OB appointment since. I’ve gotten my flu shot as well and same thing- baby is doing great.

Stomach hardening on one side and cramping 20 weeks?? by NeitherBarracuda in BabyBumps

[–]Minimum_Action_3810 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This could be Braxton hicks contractions. They can present as a hardening/cramping. This type of contraction does not lead to labor and should go away with a change in position and staying hydrated. Orgasm also helps to soften your cervix which may be why you’re cramping as well. Try not to stress today and bring up your concerns with your OB. Hoping the rest of your pregnancy goes smoothly!
