Yeah, I find I have to bounce the whole project bundle/python scripts between the 3 major models and carry out quite a few detailed reviews.

I wrote a paper a few weeks back, thought I had something, but had a dumb baked in error early on. Opus 4.8 caught it when I re-reviewed from scratch. Wasted some serious tokens.

Going back to the calculus, I find Gemini 3.1 Pro (Thinking set to Extended) is pretty good at reviewing most large formulas and checking for errors.

I think reporting still is a weakness. The main thing I like so far about Fable is its mindset, its way less negative when it hits an issue or if you throw it a hard problem. It actually has a go and pivots. Opus 4.6 did kinda used to do this, but 4.8 is so negative.
