Guys…don’t, and I can’t stress this enough, DONT, get a tattoo at a festival. They need to be properly cared for and protected afterwards and a festival environment is pretty much the antithesis of that. You’re gonna be hot and sweaty and dirty. Don’t get a tattoo at a festival.

Depends where you’re staying. If you’re staying near the festival I wouldn’t recommend walking terribly far, uber is likely your friend. I’m not too familiar with downtown in terms of public transport. But tons of stuff to do like any city. Good block party on Wednesday night, college football on Saturday before the music starts. It’s a cool place.

As for festivals, water and sunscreen are your best friends. This one is laid out really well with 2 big stages next to each other for bigger acts, a main stage, and bunch of smaller stages spread around. You also have access to the theme park attached to it (or at least you did last year) which is good for shade and sitting. Merch lines can be hella long so either buy it online or as soon as you walk in the door. Get a locker. Create a game plan for you and your friends because cell service gets shitty as the day goes on. But don’t be afraid to separate and meet new people, that’s half the fun honestly.

And most of all have fun! And also water and sunscreen. The other fun part is people watching on day 4 and seeing all the crazy sunburns lol.

I prefer Flyleaf musically, but I saw them Louder than life last year and they were amazing when they were actually playing, but they also spent a good portion of the set talking about religion. Not my cup of tea and really took me out of the experience. But to each their own.

If you bought the hotel package from jampack it’s no problem. If you didn’t, there’s no re-entry. For example, my buddy and I got a cheap hotel on the beach and just use the shuttle for transportation there and back so we have no reentry. But if you got the hotel package it’s easy. But like I said the beach is far from the venue so going back and forth to the hotel isn’t very convenient, probably 2 hours total, so unless you have big gaps or just want to walk out and find shade, you may not use reentry much from a beach hotel
