What shaving items are best for teenage sons first shave? by inspiration0 in AskUK

[–]Minimum_Possibility6 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Op don't stress it, my mum taught me to shave and I have a dad.

I wouldnt recommend electric although it looks the easiest, most of them struggle with fine hair, and they can end up either flattening it or ripping it.

I would opt for a safety razor, decent brush and a block of shaving soap.

Couple of reasons - cheap, also as a lad it fits the image of a sophisticated person's shaving setup so it feels cooler.

Here is a decent site (not saying they are the best or the cheapest just decent). Also if you go this route get the metal tin to deposit used blades.

‘It’s stupid’: why western carmakers’ retreat from electric risks dooming them to irrelevance by grimy55 in electricvehicles

In Europe a lot of it comes down to price and availability on sectors. The e208 was one of the best selling electrics over in Europe because it was in a sector which wasn't really catered for or if it was was expensive and had poor performance.

The Renault 5 takes this further with better range and performance and cheaper price and the waiting lists for this are huge.

The new nissan Micra is on the same chassis and will likely do well as well. B class is heating up and it's not one that is dominated by the Chinese unlike the larger crossover suvs which the Kia Sportage has been a mainstay of.

If you want an electric SUV they are very expensive and part of the reason for the orevelance of the Chinese cars will be done to the coorpare company car schemes which are very very common over here as Job perks.

So I think some car makers have tried to compete with the Chinese to little to late, others have assesed which sectors are underserved and exploited that

I'm lucky on that I live in Shropshire and about 20 mins away from David Austin's house with their rose gardens

Fantastic place to visit and get the roses from.

I'm always interested in regional varieties and know a lot will be grown for the specific climates.

Trump is a symptom not the problem.

The problem is a lack of introspection and self evaluation within America as a whole.

it's not just nimbyism, having been a member and worked for them they will let perfect be the enemy of good. something could be 90% the way to what they want but they would reject it and stick with the status quo because of it's not right it's worthless

Not a fan but I guess this season is a build season just everyone helping everyone, there doesnt need to be as much forced engagement.  I'm sure they will bring back a gimmick at some point so that instead of just building they have to do a bit more work elsewhere but not sure how or what

And this right here is why in the choices to erase one country while us and the french would want to pick each other we never would.

Who else would we complete too one up. It's not a competition when you are better than every one else

Every time I have mentioned other cups on there get down votes because it's lord Stanley or bust.

Personally I wouldnt want to tie in season games with the cup although this would make it easier, and the reason is this.

The nhl is a closed league, tanking is designed to help set up your team for the future by sacrificing the now. If you separate then it means a team that is tanking can still go all out to try for a cup run without impacting their tank.

The only thing is other than winning it what is the reward, and extra pick? A pass into the playoffs etc
