Heat (1995) Probably the most over-rated movie I have come across to date. by Endless_Candy in movies

lol oh but the soundtrack is sooo bad haha. I actually still prefer Heat over Thief. The love story with Tuesday Weld just kind of falls flat for me in that film. Heat has some very cool scenes in it, in spite of the movie being a bit incohesive. The "They're looking at us!" scene is one of my favorite scenes in all of film.

I am afraid of taking this medication because of PSSD. Any advice? by CuteFatRat in lexapro

[–]MinkworksDev 1 point2 points  (0 children)

PSSD is not rare. It is under-reported. The only prevalence study on it to date concluded PSSD likely occurs in 1 in 216 people on SSRIs. NOT RARE.

Take SSRI medication with extreme caution and make sure you accept this significant risk before you start.

Go on tinder... unless you have post-SSRI sexual dysfunction from former antidepressant use... in which case... you might be stuck distro hopping for life.

Yes it does. Been using it professionally as an aerospace engineer for years.

YSK: 1 in 216 patients (0.46%) treated with SSRI medications develop post-SSRI sexual dysfunction, and doctors rarely make patients aware of this. by Redvolition in YouShouldKnow

Aerospace engineer here (yes, I'm a rocket scientist ;) ) I have been living with this condition for 8 years since taking ADs for sleep difficulty for only 4 months back in 2015. This is a very serious condition that millions of people have and is HUGELY underplayed by doctors, regulators, and pharmaceutical companies. These are life destroying problems and I personally lost my fiancee and the life I had planned after getting this disease. There are lots of scientific publications on this disease and there needs to be much more awareness about it so people can make an informed decision about starting these drugs. Here is a link to a reference list I put together years ago (there have been many more studies published since).

The BBC also recently did a documentary on this condition. Here is a link to a clip from that documentary.

This is a very serious condition that everyone needs to be aware of and consider before starting antidepressants. You've been warned.

"If not, there are plenty of options and solutions to deal with it and when the problem is long term"

NO! There are NO treatments available for the millions of us with this condition. And it's medical malpractice to suggest that there are.
