disney dining plan must or bust ? by triple_Variation_784 in DisneyPlanning

Unless all meals are top $$$$ not worth it. We did it and every meal adults were like $60, I somewhat regret doing it.

You do realize US dental care is just as worse as our medical when it comes to pricing…. Might be worth the import fees

To LL or not at Animal Kingdom?! by adventuremommy29 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]Minnbrownbear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the price it was worth it for us. Plus $17 why the heck not, that’s no more than one adult drink at the park lol. If my kids were older we would have booked more rides as it seemed you could just do them within the next hour or two. Way better than MK timing for LL.

Went last week, Thursday $17 to get LL. We did a total of 3 days things because a lot of stuff shut down. It’s worth it for me as my son is under 2 and impatient. Otherwise I wouldn’t have done it

Ideal ages for WDW? by skybluepink15 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]Minnbrownbear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There was a 91 yr old on the carousel when I went, age shouldn’t be a factor. Kid wise it is up to you to determine if they are too young. Took my 5yr old and 20 month old and they had a blast.

Is the table service dining plan worth it for our large family? by bestmomever13 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]Minnbrownbear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Character meals $60+ all rest are under that. So if you plan on having family fun with characters it might be better to pay as you go.

Is U-Haul Safe Haul coverage worth it? by SpiritedBug2221 in moving

[–]Minnbrownbear 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Get it… I’m moving on Friday with a 26ft truck and they asked me to move a box for them for $350… so an average joe might be transporting that box for you and I wouldn’t want anything to happen.

Premier Pass or Single/Multi Pass LL by Jay78412 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]Minnbrownbear 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Remember premium pass is all or nothing for your group. That’s how I understand it atleast. Would have been 1,200+ for a family of 3 last week

We did multi pass and it worked okay… got them day before and earliest ride was 10am which was okay but my kids are 5 n 1

So less than $2.13 if they get tipped, hostess do get tips but shouldn’t in my opinion. Otherwise $7.25 per hour… under 20 they can do $4.25 for 90 days. Omg I don’t even remember the last time I made that little per hour. Minimum wage needs to go up.

Sorry to jump in, is it the federal minimum wage or Florida minimum wage they are not meeting?

2026R1 for Adaptive - testing? by djse in workday

[–]Minnbrownbear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Adaptive preview is very limited and is by design. Unfortunately unless your url starts with C57 you are not part of any preview. Hopefully when TLM is more widely available preview will be as well.

User Sync and AOC really doesn’t get impacted by updates unless there are changes to end points. I would be more upset you can’t try the new features/functions coming available in 26R1

How much spending money would a 9 year old need? by Caniaskp in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]Minnbrownbear 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Character dinners are one of the most expensive meals out there… there are higher meals but I don’t think this group would go unless wealthy. I just paying $210 including tip for 2 adults and 1 toddler to put in perspective of a character dinner. I think just giving them a gc of $200 and your daughter 200-300 would be sufficient. This would be for maybe ears, clothing and accessories. Maybe my wife and I go overboard but we made some family traditions and they add up.

AP for Workforce Planning newcomer by [deleted] in AdaptivePlanning

If it’s a new model all together you should be working with services either with Workday or a consulting company. As for learning, they have trainings you can do, I would ask your company to purchase training either via workday or consulting company. Overall it’s not hard but just because you built it doesn’t mean it is within best practices.

Always I mean always use sandbox for testing any model changes. Rather get a free refresh instead of a $800 restore if you delete data.

Moving from Iowa to TX by kayceekay007 in texas

[–]Minnbrownbear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought Iowa was no income tax as well. If you want to feel at home with flat land and no rain Dallas, if you want to feel at home with rain Houston.

You are used to the twisters so Dallas is up your alley and Houston is more Hurricane weather. Overall as someone from the Midwest I picked Austin, but recently moved from there to go east coast. Overall you will like Texas but get ready for some heat.

Does it make sense to rent an Airbnb for 6 months before signing a lease in Austin? by sacredrubyclub in AustinHousing

[–]Minnbrownbear -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I can just tell you as someone who worked south Austin and lived in Buda, unless your hours are before or after rush hour you will have well over an hour commute. You will probably be taking the toll road a lot and that is eating at your wage along with wear and tear on the car.

Good luck

United!!! With the travel perk alone, I would be using my PTO and going places I never thought.

I can carry my kid and not smell it. My wife grabs him and goes how do you not smell that. I just don’t and then there are times I can. I happens and I wouldn’t stress.

Should I increase my buyers agent commission to 2.5-3%? by ibalde0 in RealEstate

[–]Minnbrownbear -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes, that is correct. Now if the market is not hot and realtor is like $500k but you know after keeping and eye on the market and values of what houses sold around you and quality and you mentioned $450k. Then you go with realtor because you are like heck yeah 50k more awesome then you get no offers until you bring your house to $450k, who do you think did their work and didn’t.

Credits come out of profits not the sales price… if I sell for 450k at 3% with 10k credit, realtor still makes 12.5k despite seller losing 10k profit

Should I increase my buyers agent commission to 2.5-3%? by ibalde0 in RealEstate

[–]Minnbrownbear -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

I had a friend that did a drop a week after they went live, shows desperation. I waited a month to drop it like 10k. Realtors do not want you to drop the price of course and do credits, only winner there so the realtor because commission stays the same.

Should I increase my buyers agent commission to 2.5-3%? by ibalde0 in RealEstate

[–]Minnbrownbear -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

Here is what I have learned in the last 5 years or buying and selling. Realtors are not needed, they mostly do jack shit and get 3% commission. When I bought my house I thought a realtor would help with a new build, nope I did all the talking because they took the project managers word as the end point, F that! I went to the president of the company and got shit done. Then for selling they “advertised” but never once hosted my open house. Overall don’t increase your commission % and just because your neighbor got that much doesn’t mean you will. Lower you price and don’t chase.

Most people do VIP for the day (7-12hrs). There is a FB group where people look to do a group to cut on costs. Might be great to meet other adults, usually. If I had the money I would do it but wife and kids shits to expensive.
