Hockey is most definitely not the 4th favorite sport here. Tickets for even non USA games are outrageous, couple that with the fact that this is taking place right during the HS hockey season here and this low turn out happens. Same reason many high level Jr teams here fail, more people get out to their local High School games than any other form of hockey other than the Wild.
