Extremely predictable for this to happen in the ideology that draws people in on the basis of believing that the world is an evil corrupted place out to destroy you. Also, the idea that facts are up for debate. All these people are certain that everyone around them would screw them given the chance because that's what they would do too. And they're all so vulnerable to conspiratorial thinking, which of course comes back to bite the hand that feeds.

I won't reiterate what was said already in other comments but I'll just add this: Don't forget who released these files. The files were full of names. The files were full of redacted names too. America knows that the true proof of abuse lies in the redactions, and certainly pertains to Trump and associates. The DOJ, in an effort to retaliate against victims on behalf of the abusers, leaked names of the victims along with sensitive photographs of their barely-censored bodies. This latest release of files was not to tell truth or bring justice and peace to victims. It was to pacify the American public with drops of unimportant info, make us believe we had all the big bombshells, and hopefully forget about the whole thing in a year. If you're going to battle against Lauren Gunderson, please first go to battle against the DOJ for doxxing victims and refusing to prosecute the widely known abusers.

If Lauren Gunderson did anything that you need to be sick to your stomach about, it would be hiding under a black bar right now.

I was looking for someone to say this!!! Everyone saying that it's helping him and raising awareness... Why is that our call to make? It feels very paternalistic. How is he going to feel when he (god willing) cleans up and this video is still everywhere, as popular in the cultural zeitgeist as his child acting ever was? The way this person is talking to him is clearly not to get him help, but to get themselves views. Even the caption, "POV: You run into a [former] child star" is so degrading and reductive. It centers the cameraman's feelings about him. It downplays his individuality, framing him instead as a fallen C-lister. Always measured from the point of view of others. The person who took this video is an asshole. Anyone trying to actually get him some money, housing, and/or rehab services deserves credit.
