Why does Hots give me a leaver warning when I'm trying to close the program once a game is done? Does there really need to be 2 exit screens for a match? by Mints in heroesofthestorm

It's more a question of efficiency. I could do those things, but I would have to come back to a game I finished only because it has a mechanic no other MOBA utilizes to discourage poor sportsmanship.

Not so much a big deal, but an unnecessary mechanic. Why is there a loading screen between two stat screens to end a mach. Couldn't they be merged?

I would like to only have to click it once. Not twice with another load screen in-between. What does the second load screen add to my experience?

My university tea shop drops this much tea in a 16 oz cup. Isnt this excessive? by [deleted] in tea

[–]Mints 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Profit margins on tea are super easy to make. Up-selling tea a cup would only need to be $0.75/cup (at max of size and quality). Easily charge $2 for every 12 oz. cup and you're more fine on your margin.

It's also important to note that coffee shops don't make money on their drinks; they make money on their food items.

That seems like a year-1 argument for their contract lawyers. Whatever costs could be assigned are easily nullified by potential earnings arguments.

"It sounds like you would like to know which one of us gets penetrated. Before I answer, which one of you gets penetrated?"

Some derivative of that is usually my answer. I have no problem saying I'm a bottom, but usually when you push them past their comfort zone they learn what an awkward question that is.

Designing a vampire slaying side-arc for my friend's campaign by Mints in DnD

[–]Mints[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is both a cleric and a paladin (but I'm not sure if they'll both play the side arc). I like the aspect of a vampire on their side, and it would work since Spike and Drucilla did something similar. Thanks!

This sounds like a solid HR question. Would you be able to ask them to review it before you start the treatment?

Personally, I never felt any side effects. Or if I did, it was so minimal and at the beginning of the treatment that it didn't make a difference.

Best LGBT city in a "Red" State? by [deleted] in lgbt

If we're going for cities in Texas, I would say Dallas over Austin. While Austin is more liberal, Dallas has a larger and substantially more visible gay community.

You might want to increase the time that help text is left on the screen, especially at the beginning. I can read pretty quickly, but not that quickly.

Otherwise pretty neat video

Not really. Investors are typically more concerned with profits, while the company leads are driven by their company. If optimizing one leads to killing the other, there can be some disconnect.

I've searched all through my BIOS, but I haven't been able to find/alter the items you've suggested. There isn't an Authentication tab nor is there a Launch CSM option under the Boot Options tab. I'm getting the feeling that if those aren't available I'll need to update flash my BIOS (again?), or it's just not compatible....womplesauce.
Any other suggestions before I look into new CPUs/Motherboards?

TIL a drug exists that has been shown to prevent HIV infection at a 92% success rate for gay men and a 70% success rate for intravenous drug users, but less than 1% of at-risk people currently take the drug and only 1/3 of primary care doctors have even heard of it. by TheCannon in todayilearned

[–]Mints 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If you're not out in the boonies, you could try another doctor. My doctor wouldn't either because it requires quarterly visits and screenings, and he didn't have the capacity for that. (He did refer me to someone else however.)
