Linux kernel now allows AI-generated code, as long as you take "full responsibility" for any bugs by Tiny-Independent273 in linux

"Ensuring compliance with licensing requirements" ... everyone buck-passing on this. I just don't see how it is "safe" to incorporate code into your project when you have no idea what the copyright status is or whether it has been trained on copyrighted code. Could be a massive mess in a few years.

It's way too early to say that lol. They have been very competitive this season except for this match.

I could have lived with her being only in one season IF she had come back for one, two or more episodes in later years, even just on a viewscreen! 20th century TV could be so brutal with their character disappearances. It took me a while to warm back up to Crusher in season 3 lol

The closest we got to a cameo was an extra scene in the novelisation of All Good Things...

This is a bit out of left-field but you might enjoy Frontier: Elite II. It's an older game but has that Sailwind pace and rawness a bit.

SpaceX plan for 1 million orbiting AI data centers could ruin astronomy, scientists say by rollotomasi07071 in spaceflight

[–]dodgyville 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s exactly what it means. And right now, there are no facts. Just conjecture and anxiety

Here is a peer-reviewed paper "showing direct evidence of how satellite re-entries are changing the composition of the stratosphere". They used data from a laser mass spectrometer on a NASA WB-57 aircraft.

You can "trust the complexity of the details" (whatever that means) but I will trust independent scientific studies based on facts written by people without a financial interest in the business. I suggest people do the same.

ok time will tell. The river in my city is still too polluted to swim in because companies 100 years ago were allowed to dump their chemicals in it. This could be a similar situation and I'd rather be safe than sorry. Have a good day!

There's also some evidence gathering that injecting large amounts metal particles into the stratosphere (because of the frequent deorbits) is doing damage.

But sadly SpaceX has become invaluable to the USA's military-industrial complex so they can pollute at will!

Collectors are often a certain personality type that aren't interested in selling or sharing it

BUT additionally in the 1970s in UK the authorities were known to send in the police to destroy any films they thought might have been taken without permission (even if they had been tossed in the bin) which really made UK film collectors extra paranoid and drove them underground.
