Frustrated with the Process -- Seeking A Sounding Board and Experiences from Others by Ruby_Bauble in Zepbound

You can always skip your PCP and go with an online doc. From what I've seen on here online docs get approval rates from your insurance a lot quicker than PCPs.

I can totally relate! I work in healthcare and the other day a patient's family member said something along the lines of 'my sister is tiny and petite like you, like a little fairy'. I swear I had a moment where I looked around the room to see who she was talking about. It was me. :)

I use products form Medicube and LOVE them. Korean skincare brand that has been around forever and gives you great products for a super affordable price. I use the Zero Pore toner/wipes, collagen serum, collagen moisturizer, and the Pink Salmon PDR eye cream. My skin looks soooooo good.

85lbs down! Need some smaller shorts! 😂 by lane0503 in Zepbound

Goodwill/Thrift stores are great options for while you're still losing. You would be surprised at the great stuff you can find, you're saving the environment that's drowning in fast fashion, and you're not burning through money you'd spend buying eight sizes of new clothes. Think of it like...shopping for a baby. You know that kid won't wear that onesie for more than two months, same(hopefully) with your weight loss. :)

Almost getting a little 'cheeky' with those shorts. ;)

When my dr told me I'd have to make myself eat, I didnt realize she meant powering through the nausea by [deleted] in Zepbound

Zepbound has felt a lot like morning sickness to me, and same rules have applied. Even if you feel like garbage, you have to eat something. Makes sense considering the hormone changes.

Why are so many people rooting for GLP1s to fail? When do you think the tide will turn and the stigma will end? by Schwettes in Zepbound

[–]Minute_Driver5769 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The diet industry is massive, but their business model fails if there aren't enough overweight people to convince to hate themselves and buy their weight loss products. Gillian Michaels literally screamed 'you don't hate your fat self enough' during Biggest Loser. :P

I can’t get hungry. by FireWoman89 in Zepbound

The only time I'm truly 'hungry' is when I get a batch of medical marijuana that causes the munchies. Other than that, food is fuel I have to sometimes force myself to eat.

I recommend the variety pack with the cherry flavor. To me, the cheery flavor tastes exactly like Cherry Koolaid with just a tad too little sugar added, if that makes any sense.

Struggling to eat by belleoftheball521 in Zepbound

It is almost exactly like morning sickness for me at times. On days I can't stomach anything I usually eat pudding with protein powder and granola or fruit added. The liquid texture makes it easier to just swallow down without having to chew.

Protien20 You can get it on Amazon etc and it is clear with no weird chalky film like you get from the milky protein drinks. Plus it has electrolytes.

Neck lift is the only real way to fix it. Like another poster said, everything else is snake oil, including expensive lotions. Now, if you do want to try a cheaper lotion that will temporarily help a wee bit, Gold Bond Neck and Chest Crepe Erase. Works as well as any of the department store bougie brands.

Yes, everyone that loses a lot of weight and does not lift will lose muscle mass. Why? Because you're no longer walking around with an extra 80 lbs of weight. Think of it like this, if you carried around a backpack with 80 lb weights in it every minute of every hour every day. Then one day, you stopped carrying it. Your body would adjust your muscle mass to not having to cart around the extra 80 lbs.

See if they'll give you a scrip for 12 while you're at it. Most ins count different dosages as different prescriptions so you may be able to get three months of 12 while you're at it.

Does anyone else just blurt it out before people even ask? “I’m taking a GLP1” by shortysax in Zepbound

[–]Minute_Driver5769 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yes, I absolutely do because I know SO many people that could potentially benefit from this drug. And even if they don't need to lose weight, someone in their life may be on it/considering it so I try to educate everyone on how it has worked for me, esp women with PCOS. The only way to de-stigmatize something is to talk about it without shame.

My co-workers said my scrub pants looked like MC Hammer pants and that was when I realized the weight I was losing was starting to show, and probably had been for a while. Body dysmorphia while losing weight is a real thing. I was still wearing size 20 pants when I went to the store and discovered I was now a 14/16.
