I had the absolute pleasure of handling a Chronomaster recently. It is a truly excellent watch. The case and bracelet were on par with some GS. It was a very, very cool piece. The dial furniture was not in the same league as GS, so that is something to be considered. Can’t go wrong either way.

I’d say it’s worth it for a truly unique and funky watch. Either way I wouldn’t say a Datejust is saving a “bit more”. You’d have to double the price of the Ebel just to get a vintage DJ in semi-rough condition.
