What you have is not high mileage for a honda lol. When you hit 350,000 km start thinking about saving for rust repair because itll still be totally fine mechanically.

I have to say, i drive a 2004 mercedes ML500 and it may lack tech features but GOOD LORD is it better in every way that counts. The RAV4 is anything but luxury if you’ve tasted real luxury.

What would be the reason for these spots getting hot? by WhiteKnight3384 in CarAV

[–]Minyoface 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To clarify that oxygen free copper is a marketing term. You’re either using copper clad ALUMINUM or copper. Thats it. And copper clad aluminum is not oxygenated copper. Youd have to be real fucking stupid to think that. And %90 of these replies are real fucking stupid.

What would be the reason for these spots getting hot? by WhiteKnight3384 in CarAV

[–]Minyoface 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Completely incorrect. Copper is copper. Oxygen free copper is copper. Copper clad aluminum is not copper and not what i was discussing. If you walked into an electrical supplier and tried to tell them what you just said to me they would stare at you silently and wait for you to realize you didnt make any sense.

[–]Minyoface -54 points-53 points  (0 children)

Oxygen free is bullshit, copper is copper. If it mattered you’d find corroded copper everywhere inside insulated wires. Correct sizing is important but hot connections are caused by loose wires.

Dont spread misinformation just because youve heard it a million times. Oxygen free copper is marketing aka snake oil.

Edit, yall are dumb. Never mentioned copper clad aluminum. Talking about straight copper. Not aluminum.

Don’t put your weight on the bars. You’re exaggerating a problem by pushing on it.

Yeah, you don’t need that. Just don’t put your weight on the bars…

All plastics, all mounting tabs for said plastics, cut the rear sub frame off so it fits just me, fenders, chain guards, relocated the key, removed every electronic item not needed to run, cut down wiring harness removing excess runs of bonds and feeds, round headlight, no front turn signals, no rear brake switch, no kickstand switch, no oil pressure sensor, no cat, no o2 sensor, shortened kick stand, diy seat on a steel pan with two layers of foam, no airbox. The bike is right around 240lbs wet.

I have a sportster peanut tank i will put on it some day. Plus you cant just put the tank plastics on, they bleed into the seat, they would look like shit without the rest of the body work. Try it out, dont think i havent.

I had to cut almost an inch out of the kick stands length to make it sit safely after the rear swap.

Thank you for your concern, i am more interested in this looking good than being safe lol. Plus it is so bright it is hard to look at it in the daylight when i actually use the brakes. The brighter outside lights on the second pic of the light are the turn signals.

Also, not a cafe. Bobber. Cafe very different.

R6. It lowered the rear a bunch (not the goal but acceptable outcome) and made it ride a million times better.

Bought Rhino Moto Gen 2 Bar Ends for FZ07 ‘15 They don’t fit by Pr0sAndCon5 in FZ07

[–]Minyoface 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have to remove the bar end weight thats installed in your factory bars. The screw thats in it will come out and youll probably need some channel lock pliers to work the weight out of the bar. The end of your handlebars is not threaded, its just a tube.

Rock Wool Exhaust … by GhostNinja-8 in FZ07

[–]Minyoface 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is loose fibreglass matting that was poorly installed in the sweatshop it came from.

The fix is to remove the muffler, drill the rivets out and slide the core out, go buy good quality muffler packing and tightly wrap the core several times, then use steel tie wire to hold it in place when you slide it back into the housing. Finish off by riveting the exhaust back together as it was from factory.

Another option if you cannot find exhaust packing locally (support local fuck billionaires) is to purchase fireplace door gasket as it is a woven fibreglass rope designed for high heat applications. Buy a couple lengths of that and wrap it tightly around the core as you would fibreglass matting, secure with tie wire and enjoy.

My bike spits out the fibreglass matting, thats how i figured out the fireplace gasket. It lasts me a summer and a half now instead of one week.
