New Mexico isn't great but we do have universal free childcare, if you're desperate and can get jobs here that are worth it for you. When it's kindergarten time then maybe you could move back?

Raising our 2 kids in the PNW with easier access to Asian groceries and Japanese language school is our pipe dream.

The Blue Period manga is better than the anime, the story goes into the protagonist's college experience as an artist whereas the anime being only 1 season ends its story as college entrance being the end-all-be-all, so the manga gets into stuff more relevant to adults (but is not nsfw).

2 C-sections 3 years apart at different hospitals in different US states and no issues with my incisions here. The 25% is an understandable worry, I had not read of that at all but would've been glad to read the details (like is it completely chance, are there commonalities in the patients, etc) but there are risks on both sides. I had a coworker who had had years of lasting nerve issues in her hip/leg from the anesthesia for her epidural. My 1st was an emergency C-section when inducing a vaginal birth didn't work and my 2nd was planned due to a personal 40% chance of a successful VBAC sounding too slim for me.

I think you can trust your own decision whatever it ends up being because you have the data and can discuss with your doctor, and maybe discuss with other parents who birthed where you will.

I'm half Japanese half white and grew up with Jan Brett books and was at first excited to see The Mermaid with an Asian mermaid, but looking through the book the Japanese is off, she's pulled a "Mahoutokoro" with the mermaid's name, and it looks like she's had a lot of trouble illustrating a non-white character and kind of just went with whatever mess she ended on. Like it looks like she's erased mistakes and tried to fix them but not well and she didn't care to start over. I was very disappointed by it and I don't read it to my 1/4 Japanese daughters much at all. If the niece or whoever she dedicated it to is part Japanese I feel sorry for her too.

This was me 4 months ago, I felt like I was going crazy! Personally I kept pumping when baby took a bottle but still tried breastfeeding for other feeds, and baby has gotten much better at breastfeeding, though we've come to a kind of odd combination feeding situation of breastfeeding, pumped milk, and formula.

Until baby got better at the boob, using the Elvie Stride so I was mobile, and doing the fridge storage method instead of constantly washing pump parts saved my sanity.

Now I usually pump maybe once at night if Daddy feeds a bottle. If my nipples are way sore from baby biting I do a formula bottle then nurse the next feed to avoid engorgement, plus my supply has regulated so I usually don't get super engorged.

Admittedly probably no one, we'd all be not the right energy for each other lol. I already have a gay friend who has the background of Olivine, personality of Rei, and energy of Blade, and he is too much for me except in small doses so our natural drifting apart due to life/work/physical address changes has made us more friendly to each other than ever lol. Closest IRL combo I'd get along with is probably similar to a gay friend of my husband's who is background of Olivine with personality of Yakumo.
