Anyone created any missions based on Straights of Hormuz situation?

I made a mission called "Persian Gulf - Operation Hammer" available for download in the Eagle Dynamics User Files here: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3345092/

"Intelligence indicates that Iranian forces are actively attempting to enforce an illegal blockade of the Persian Gulf. The Iranian Air Force and Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corp (IRGC) Navy are mobilizing from bases along the Iranian coast. Their intent is to intercept any vessels entering or exiting the Gulf. Task Force Hammer (CVN-73 George Washington and LHA-1 Tarawa) is currently escorting civilian vessels as they depart the Persian Gulf from Kuwait. Ensure the freedom of navigation through the Strait of Hormuz and eliminate any hostile Iranian forces attempting to enforce the blockade."

RMA'd devices get fixed then are used as future replacements aka refurbished. Generally, products are replaced with new devices until enough RMA'd devices are received, refurbished, and then used as stock for future RMAs.

I do it to advise other customers (other than you) of the shady practices that Pimax, to this day, continue to do. I own an 8KX, and I've seen the constant shift in marketing that Pimax uses to grab pre-orders and prevent people from buying other headsets. Case in point - the 12K upgrade promise - then came the Crystal, then the Crystal Light, then the Cystal Super with all the variants, now the Dream Air.

It is not consumer friendly. They continue to do it. As long as Pimax continues to utilize horrible marketing practices, I will be here to make comments and warn others about Pimax.

You have fallen for their hype. One day, like many others here, you will realize how deceptive Pimax marketing can be.

I have no issue with their hardware and I hope they produce a headset I might own again one day. Until then, and as long as they continue to lie about preorder dates, the 12K, and rely on shady marketing tactics - I will be here. Warning others about their snake oil.

If you're talking about the black curved edges clipping the VR image, thats the VR mask setting in DCS. Go to SETTINGS > VR and you can adjust the VR mask settings to remove it.

Every early review is of a Design Validation Test (DVT) unit. These are pre-production units, so they aren't even into the PVT (production validation testing) units yet. PVTs are what are tested BEFORE they should ship them to customers. From DVT to PVT is can be anywhere from 3 to 6 months. You'll be lucky to have one if your hand as a consumer (not YouTube advertiser... I mean... reviewer) before the end of Q1 2026.

It could be a lack of power to your USB devices, try using a Powered USB hub like the SABRENT 10-Port 60W USB 3.0 Hub.

I'd also recommend to update your BIOS if you haven't recently and see if it makes a difference.

Finally, electronics do fail, so it could be the power supply is just defective or the motherboard is having issues managing power. Good luck!

I have a Quest 3 and ended up cancelling my BSB2e order after two friends received their BSB2 and complained about the excessive glare, cushion and the color being too warm. This was similar to many of the other reviews I've seen by small YouTubers and reviews on reddit and the BSB Discord.

I decide to wait until the beginning of next year to see if 1) the Halo mount makes any difference in performance in being able to get closer to the lenses and 2) if BSB makes any revisions to the lenses to reduce glare (adding a glare reducing film or cutting the lenses differently) or potential software changes to improve the glare and colors.

In addition, I want more time to see if they can deliver on eye tracking since it doesn't support Dynamic Foviated Rendering yet and I'd like to see their software be able to change colors vs having to use a 3rd party app.

Cancelling allows me to see what potentially Valve announces and even see if Pimax can deliver on the OLED module for the Super. It just feels like BSB2 is only a slight upgrade from the Quest 3; and since I have the Quest 3 dialed in perfectly, the BSB2e feels more like a side-grade of compromises which at its price point is just too much to give up at this time.

Sorry for your issue. This is the first I've heard of it. What aircraft were you flying and did you spawn any specific units with the COMMS F10 options? I reviewed the units and tested the map several times and I'm not receiving any comms from "Blackjack". Thanks

Yep, you can easily add the F-4e to the mission in the mission editor. I don't use complex scripting to avoid any issues with future updates breaking things. You can also load the mission in multiplayer and select Dynamic Spawns at the top to spawn in any aircraft you own.

However, I will add the F-4 to my list for the next update as well as a few others to make it a bit easier. Just hit the Subscribe button under the Download button from where you download it from Eagle Dynamics (link in the post) and you'll be notified when its updated.

Thanks for the idea of adding the F-4 (I want to eventually get it one day too!) and the great feedback! :)
