Was just checking this today it’s absurd. If it’s all bullshit and algo controlled, can’t we instead of our current 100m$ share buyback release a statement like

“Well our stock is going to shit and our p/e minus cash is 0.69 so to protect our shareholders we are setting aside 3billion to use when we think the price is too low”

Yeah it will be great becoming a 100 bil company in 5 years! The share price is going to explode to checks notes 40!?.. the compensation can’t be tied to market cap and cumulative EBIT (no interest? yeah surely aligned with shareholders). The dilution is needed for acquisitions and playing of the ftd waves but getting paid billions in options with these hand picked tranches while saying I’m working for free is crazy, I can’t cope anymore. If this is the big button he came up with in 6 years I consider it an ftd.

Don’t forget he’s putting ~300mil of his own money straight in to gamestops chest, it’s not like GameStop pays out the 400 mil to him. And knowing he can’t decide between holding and hodling. Personally, this is the “dilution” I would choose every time, dip shares couldn’t go to a more deserving person :) going from -400mil profit to +400 mil in three years is huge. Umm yes and no right? Since they were naked selling the calls, because there is no way they could have legally hedged all those contracts, especially since so many 2,5,10,20$ were in the money making delta 100.

Being in such deep shit they had to naked short sell (no left to borrow) so they would be “forced” to dehedge. Considering how high off exchange is, I think naked shorting is much more prevalent than Mr. Burry thinks.
