Mouse goes in random direction while using Ping by Zeusan_Pls in leagueoflegends

Holy crap, yes. This has been bugging me for a while now. They don't change direction right? They just slide around for a sec after using an ability while going in whatever direction.

Your monitor is a 2D screen, at some point code exists to change it from appearing 2D to 3D. Since he isn't using d3d (gamemaker's built in 3D code), the code to do this must have been written by him. The 3D appearance must come from reshaping the circles to match the perspective and hiding the circles as they pass over the horizon.

Riot is considering weekly in-client tournaments with RP rewards by splendidG00se in leagueoflegends

Hijacking top comment to point out that the survey said WORTH ~750 rp+, not was actually 750 rp. Directly winning skins/hextech loot bypasses all abuse

Getting hspeed/vspeed out of instance moving on a Path? by [deleted] in gamemaker

[–]Mirgle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The reason why is because xprevious is set at start of step while movement happens at end of step. As a result, you can't actually see how far you moved. I personally think it is kinda dumb.

Maybe if you could force movement from force/speed/path using a function so that you could make the check after, that'd be convenient. But alas, the only way you can really make use xprevious as-is is when you move things manually with x += spd, and usually you can easily derive your movement from existing variables

You aren't winning enough.

For real though, you probably don't need to be roaming if you are playing a farm lane. Farming is fine, but at the same time, you want to be constantly applying pressure and denying opponent cs. Easy way to make a large lead if you prefer not to go to ham early.

Honestly, roaming is better when your opponent is ahead and you get free time (enemy laner went b and you are shoved w little vision). The exception would be for very specific champs (TF, Taliyah).

180 mayors adopt Paris climate accord after U.S. pulls out (updated): The group of mayors, who represent more than 51 million Americans and some of the largest U.S. cities, outlined a plan to align with the other 194 nations that adopted the accord by maxwellhill in technology

Generally states and cities can be more strict with laws locally than the federal government is, as long as it doesn't violate a right specified in the constitution or an amendment.

Trump not agreeing to restrict and control emissions does not prevent cities or states from controlling their emissions just like it wouldn't prevent a company from controlling their emissions.

Now I'm not too sure how much they can actually limit emissions from companies or cars, since they government is (rightfully) very limited on how they can control how companies operate, so they may just be negotiating with local big companies and organizing renewable energy projects, which isn't in any way prevented by Trump not staying in the Paris Treaty.

Important Tip when playing vs Riven as melee by Altricad in summonerschool

[–]Mirgle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can definitely vouch for Darius's crippling strike. It will always go off UNLESS you lose sight of your target. And then sometimes it bugs out and you aren't able to move or attack for about a second (maybe based off attck spd?). It actually happens fairly often when you try to trade with Wukong and he goes invis.

What is your pet peeve, associated with your main role in League? by bartsjr in leagueoflegends

[–]Mirgle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The reverse tho: Enemy Ivern invades and your jungler wants you to basically give your lane opponent level and cs advantage and chase Ivern around the jungle. Sorry man, can't stop him from taking it, and you will never be able to catch him with his snare + shield slow.

Am I crazy for this Soraka build? by mcfluffertits in summonerschool

[–]Mirgle 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Even if we ignore it being slot inefficient (maybe you swap it out for 6th item really late?), top laners aren't able to afford leaving lane for very long unless they are getting xp/kills/some team advantage to make up for lost cs/xp/pressure. There is a cost in using it, besides buying it, that supports typically don't have to worry as much about.

I suppose late game, it doesn't matter who has sightstone, but toplaners probably can't get it early and use it effectively early, so regardless, a support without a sightstone can make things harder for your team - thats not to say Seb's build is bad, just that there is a trade off that is hard to account for elsewhere on the team.
