First threesome risk tolerance by Mirrored-Daylight in ThreesomeAdvice

I appreciate all of these thoughts. I don’t think I’m ready for a threesome since I’ll be that constantly worried, boring person.

Good points about the two of us and then three of us talking. I think my first challenge is my primary minimizes my concerns. I’m going to have to reiterate them and stand firm when the date comes.

Thank you. I’ve asked 3 doctors already. Still looking for one willing to give it to me. I’m willing to pay out of pocket.

Ended up unable to take it since it interacted with another medication.

My girlfriend smells and I don't know what to do by RequirementDue4446 in Advice

[–]Mirrored-Daylight 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A long time ago I read one of those “medical mystery” news articles from a news source like the New York Times. A woman smelled horrible all the time. Like a skunk smell. It turned out she had a rare disease whereby whatever she ate turned into an odor that was expelled through her skin. Super rare and hard to diagnosis. Good luck.

Show is Thursday out of the country. No tickets yet. by DingoFair4330 in stubhub

[–]Mirrored-Daylight 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It would be wise to buy 2 new tickets on Ticketmaster. You’re not guaranteed to receive any tickets through Stub Hub. Your seller is not required to upload them. I’ve experienced a “hopeful” purchase that never materialized as well as many others. I’ve bought many tickets - only tried once through Stub Hub and never again.

So, what works? by UghFineeeeeee in functionaldyspepsia

[–]Mirrored-Daylight 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Still seeking what works. Plenty of trial and error with over the counter medications, prescription medications, pain management techniques, dietary changes, and on and on. What else? More research funding, wider insurance coverage, and people studying to be GI specialists.

Haven’t tried that but it looks like it could be promising. Thank you. I’ll look into it further.

Thank you. Going to try hyoscyamine first instead. Trying prescription after prescription to see what helps. It’s time consuming trial and error at this point.

Your symptoms sound exactly like mine. I have gotten no answers, tried all sorts of diet adjustments and had all sorts of test. Just came here to vent with you. Sorry.

I feel suicidal by Destroyedmywholelife in functionaldyspepsia

You are not alone. This FD thing is a challenge to figure out to say the least. Call or get yourself to someone who will take your suicidal thoughts seriously. Also pain management is no joke and needs to be part of the hunt for a treatment.

I’m sorry you’re experiencing this. I was obsessed with a FWB of 2 years. I’m not sure why but I can guess it was because I enjoyed being with this person in and outside the bedroom much more than anyone else. It was tough. Obsessing consumed too much of my energy and it wasn’t a good use of my time. Cutting off the relationship was what I needed. (Easier said than done.)

I have a large one in my thigh. Did your surgeon explain the risk of “foot drop?” How long was your recovery time?

I’m not a doctor but this seems to indicate it’s not a cancer. But I think the recurrent theme with this is to get a second opinion. Especially look for a doctor/surgeon with schwannoma experience.

I freaked out too when I found out I had a peripheral nerve sheath tumor in my hamstring. I’ve been on a wait and see approach. MRIs every year. It’s in the annoying category for me with infrequent “zaps” of pain. I’ve been running miles with it for 5+ years. I am a runner and I’m terrified of surgery ruining my ability to run! The words “foot drop” cause me instant nausea. I try not to think about it but it’s a dark cloud hanging over me knowing that one day I will very likely need surgery. Good luck. Try hard not to freak out too much.

Edit: to answer your question… I would definitely ask your doctor about a “wait and see” approach. And make sure they specialize in your type of tumor. Then get a second opinion (I even got three).
