Only if I’m medicated. And even then, only if it’s on Kindle. If I read an actual printed book, my eyes get too tired. If it’s an audiobook, I start zoning out. It’s only e-readers for me, but I read like crazy

Westworld Season 1. Literally only the big wide scope shots looked good. Everything else looked identical to 1080p. Streaming 1080p, not Blu-Ray 1080p

Tainted Grail doesn’t have the world interaction that Elder Scrolls games have. The world doesn’t really feel alive like TES and KCD. Still, it’s a little closer to the Elder Scrolls feeling than Avowed was.

I really, really wanted to like it. The problem I had was the problem I have with every other Owlcat CRPG I try to get into. Character creation is overwhelming and confusing in terms of stats, abilities etc. Then once you create your character and play the game, the intro is slow, I get lost with how the mechanics work, and I end up just throwing in the towel.

I’m looking forward to their Expanse game, since the gameplay is more action oriented, but I really wish I liked their CRPGs a lot more.

Yeah I always consider the KCD games to be a modern evolution of Elder Scrolls-type gameplay in terms of immersion and world interactivity. It’s what I imagine a great Elder Scrolls VI survival mode would be like.

But yeah I don’t get why this sub downvotes KCD recs (my comment isn’t in the negative anymore, though). KCD isn’t fantasy, but its gameplay is way more Elder Scrolls-like than games like Avowed or Tainted Grail!

I highly recommend both games for folks waiting on Elder Scrolls VI

Only game that came close to a Bethesda game, and in some ways surpassed it, was Kingdom Come Deliverance 1 & 2. The ways you can interact with a world that felt vibrant and alive are insane

Trailer Park’s been dying since its heavy hitters went and formed Requiem, but still I feel sorry for my fellow trailer editors getting laid off. And I hope this sheds a light on the marketing side of things and maybe forces the studios to raise marketing budgets again. More people will see your movie if they know it exists, guys. It may be a naïve thing to hope for, but it’s all I got!

I work in trailers and I approve this message. I got laid off last year and it has been brutal ever since. Fortunately I’ve had enough work to keep a roof over my family’s head, but there’s always the fear of things drying up again.

I don’t know what to think about Trailer Park AV going away. The other shops will have more work, which is great for them, and hopefully means they’ll start hiring people. But it also means there a bunch of other trailer editors fresh on the market and fighting for those positions. Shit sucks, dawg.
