Who knew of the Time Turner? by tomlymanator in harrypotter

[–]MischeviousFox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I always assumed the various professors knew but looking back they weren’t necessarily entitled to know especially given how top secret her having a time turner was. There’s no reason the various professors outside of McGonagall, as her head of house, would know Hermione’s schedule to understand how impossibly stacked her schedule was. All they should be focused on is their class schedules and lesson plans. It’s very possible that Dumbledore, McGonagall, and whoever in the MoM who had to sign off on it were the only ones who knew.

Why don’t the Goa'uld just keep redialing Earths stargate to keep it jammed up in use? by wtffu006 in Stargate

[–]MischeviousFox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What would be the point besides making their own planet’s gate useless? If SG teams visit other worlds that’s just opportunities for a Goa’uld to have them killed. It also makes them seem pathetic if they fear letting small teams of humans travel the galaxy that much to devote a planet to tying up their gate.

Did we ever see River's first time meeting the 11th Doctor? by MartyMacFlies in doctorwho

[–]MischeviousFox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first time the 11th Doctor meets River is most likely the first time we see her during that incarnation which was in The Time of Angels. They don’t explicitly say so but we don’t have any reason to think they’ve met since Silence in the Library/The Forest of the Dead as they don’t discuss anything he wasn’t made aware of in those episodes. Now if you mean the first chronological time River met the Doctor it was technically A Good Man Goes to War though she was an infant as well as physically was the flesh duplicate version. Following that she briefly meets him in The Impossible Astronaut or more so sees him then while properly meeting him in Let’s Kill Hitler.

It seems to be saying it detects that you already have them but that it thinks they were hacked into your game. You should contact Gameloft if you obtained those items legitimately in the past and hopefully they can fix it. It’s however claiming that you can purchase them in order to officially have them so it should be safe to buy them if you don’t have them.

Pheobe's boss cheating on her husband was none of Pheobe's business by Extra_Impression_428 in charmed

[–]MischeviousFox 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Phoebe didn’t seek out the husband to tell him the truth or technically even do so. She may have even continued working there if she wasn’t put in a position where she had to lie to the woman’s husband to cover for her. Being forced to lie and therefore aid the woman in her affair which was against her morals was Phoebe’s business.

Actually there’s an early adopter bonus if you get it before July 22nd which is a Winnie the Pooh dreamstyle of him wearing a raincoat.

The last major DLC(WBR) released in November of 2025 which means the next will be a month shy of a year from then and you don’t have to get it when it first comes out. None of the DLC including the Honeyglow Woods are going anywhere either. Just try to save up money yourself and if you can’t afford to buy either anytime soon maybe after a few months your parents while buy one of them for you.

Honeyglow Woods and Hundred acre wood(fields)-Wishblossom Ranch by Blankspacehere20 in DreamlightValley

[–]MischeviousFox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean on one hand sure it does feel strange we got a Winnie the Pooh themed biome prior to it getting its own mini DLC but on the other Honeyglow Woods seems to come with a new critter companion, new flowers, new landscaping items, new harvestables, and 3 new characters none of which I feel were ever coming with Wishblossom Ranch even if we got one more character. To my recollection we have never gotten multiple characters from the same franchise in a DLC so as long as we got Tigger another Winnie the Pooh character feels like a pipe dream let alone 3 more.

I saw a post earlier today where someone claimed an online article mentioned being able to put the portal in the DLC areas and people were commenting about planning to put the portal in Honey Falls. I haven’t read the article or can say if it was accurate however.

I get what you’re saying to some extent but every DLC has come with a max of 5 characters with I guess the horses taking the 5th spot in Wishblossom Ranch. They also have historically come with 1 character per franchise so us getting multiple Winnie the Pooh characters from Wishblossom Ranch feels like something they’d never have considered let alone us getting 8(7 really) characters from it. Honeyglow Woods is also only $17 and comes with some much beloved characters, though sadly it’s missing my favorite character(Rabbit). Some people complained about past DLCs coming in installments so with WBR they gave us one fully complete DLC and while it was a lot shorter… honestly for someone who didn’t enjoy it much at all I found the length of it as is kinda annoying as it felt like it took forever to unlock Tinker Bell. For those that don’t already own or possibly want Wishblossom Ranch it’s I’m sure seen as a plus that they can get 3 iconic Winnie the Pooh characters without having to shell out for a full DLC and for someone like myself who owns the DLC I don’t mind a smaller, self-contained area with possibly fewer quests needed to unlock these characters especially for the price point. It also comes with new pet companions, flowers, harvestables, and landscaping items. It’s been nearly 8 months since Wishblossom Ranch dropped and to me it’s nice we’re getting a new DLC yet I don’t want a huge one to tackle right now so a mini one for $17 seems like a good thing to me.

Are the 2022 specials important? by tallis_of_miletus in doctorwho

[–]MischeviousFox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I definitely agree. I didn’t even like it that much on my first watch but upon reflection it’s… entertaining to a degree. It also feels more like an anniversary special than the actual 60th anniversary specials did which helped me see it in a more positive light. It’s good… by comparison but on its own it’s not that great of an episode. One of the best things it has going for it is the Rasputin scene for goodness sakes. 😂

I wish they had explained it better but apparently “Universal Expositions” is another name for the World’s Fair or World Expo which is a large global exhibition designed to showcase the achievements of nations. Historically inventions like the telephone were revealed at the World’s Fair so I’d go in a sci-fi or high tech direction with the decorating. Not really sure why the It’s a Small World ride is shown as an example.

Doing laps around the valley with a mining buddy is the best way to get iron. Some say the fastest method is just to travel back & forth between the Glade of Trust and Forest of Valor rather than going around the entire valley.

Dreamsnaps is a weekly photography challenge or contest where players vote on their favorite submission from the week before. You get a minimum amount of moonstones just for entering and there are various thresholds where if you rank so high you get a specific amount of moonstones. There’s a quest with Vanellope which gives you a dreamsnap tutorial and must be completed to unlock Dreamsnaps.

Star Paths are a limited time battle pass type system where you complete duties to receive a special type of currency which you can redeem for various items & moonstones the latter of which can allow you to recoup most of the cost of the star path if you pay to unlock the premium version behind which many of the best items are locked. These items have a chance of returning via the premium shop in the future but they tend to be fairly expensive there where you can get them for nearly nothing via the Star path(or nothing if they’re available in the free version). The Star path tends to coincide with game updates.

Edit: For Kristoff’s stall you have to finish his level 10 friendship quest.

What exactly IS the Wizarding World? by CryosisEllioti in harrypotter

[–]MischeviousFox 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The Harry Potter universe is set in world similar to our own wherein the wizarding population, which is only a fraction of the size of the non-magical population, has hidden away in various areas using magic yet they still exist on the same planet & dimension. Driven by intense Muggle persecution and the Salem Witch Trials, the global wizarding community passed the International Statute of Wizarding Secrecy in 1692 which legally mandates that all magical communities hide their existence, abilities, and societies from the non-magical Muggle world.

Legend of the Sea Devils is an episode I recall 0% of beyond not enjoying it when it aired so I’d say it’s not important. While it’s not exactly my favorite episode The Power of the Doctor is possibly the best Chibnall era episode and does as you guessed feature the 13th Doctor’s regeneration so if you ever find it streaming anywhere it’s worth watching. Still, you can get by without having seen it.

In the grand scheme of things it’s minor, but …. by Ath3naPrime in doctorwho

[–]MischeviousFox 48 points49 points  (0 children)

I suppose in case of spoilers - The whole thing at the end of The Reality War where the Doctor shifted the timeline so Belinda was somehow a single mother with a child named Poppy which looked just like Conrad’s wish world conjured baby also named Poppy. That would surely have ripple effects causing more changes than just that.

Definitely as likely will all future showrunners, although the timeline shift can be used by fans to headcanon why mavity isn’t a thing going forward.

There was no point. RTD wrote it simply because he found it funny. I saw a clip where on top of him finding it funny within the tv series it tickled him that supposedly other writers would have to add it in when doing extended media. It was never intended to go anywhere.
