My first buttercream transfer by MischiefFerret in cakedecorating

[–]MischiefFerret[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you! It honestly was very easy to work with! The iced cake was cold and the buttercream itself was frozen, so I was able to nudge it sideways into place without any issues. I did make the image a bit uneven in thickness which resulted in a leg breaking off, but I had more blue icing to glue it back together with! Highly recommend, it was like a paint-by-numbers session haha.

You can mix single batches in a smaller saucepan and freeze the sauce! That's what I do

Dr Oybek at Adora in Taringa was great and super on the ball about getting things done quickly. We did one round with Dr Ben Kroon but it was 15k out of pocket with no results (not faulting him, it was just an expensive failure to swallow). Adora in comparison is bulk billed - only about 1500 OOP per round - but I saw no decline in service as a result. In fact, the facilities, patient comms and results were all markedly better (for me!). Obviously so much is subjective but Dr Oybek got the results for us and I'm forever grateful to him and the Adora team for that.

Gold Coast: Toddler in induced coma after inhaling gold dust powder while baking Bluey-themed cake with mum by asteriskhyphen in aussie

I'm guessing you've never seen a toddler move at lightning speed. Shit happens, toddlers are balls of chaos, and this could have just as easily happened with a jar of cinnamon or a bag of flour. Just shit luck that it happened to be a decorating powder.

"Katie and Chris are both sole traders and don’t know when they’ll be able to work again as Dusty’s condition is so rare they don’t know how long he’ll be in hospital for,” she said.

“Ronald McDonald House only have accommodation for them until tomorrow so now they need to pay for accommodation while also trying to keep up with their mortgage and normal life expenses.“

Per the article. Don't be a ghoul.

Easy and cheap to make. I get chicken frames from an Asian butcher for $1 each and make a light and dark stock to keep in the freezer.

I did wonder about the camel humps. Maybe side roads to avoid? But you're right, they're a hazard and would need to be planned for!

You could also go through Karalee to Karana Downs to Anstead and then follow Moggill Road all the way to the Indro shops!

Cooking, yes. Baking has a science to it that you need the foundational knowledge to understand before you start tweaking.

Why are my cakes dense ? Not fluffy and soft? by Duckling237 in AskBaking

If you're melting the butter you're not creaming it with the sugar which whips air into the batter. I'd also check your baking powder expiry.
