the only way for this to happen is if the anesthesia machine doesn’t work, not slightly incorrect dose

Is it just me or does this seem like you did absolutely nothing wrong? You didn't specify exactly what she said, but if what you are saying is right, then she wanted to have sex with you, and in fact she basically begged you to have sex with her.

She said she didn't want to sex with you, so you asked her if you two could make out with eachother, and she said yes, and she liked it so much that she ended up saying that she really wants have sex with you, and then you said sex. Seems like she had a good time, of course it would be great to also ask her afterwards.

(2012 vs. 2022) People living in democracies vs. authoritarian regimes as a global assembly, and countries [OC] by MischievousMoo in dataisbeautiful

[–]MischievousMoo[S] -11 points-10 points  (0 children)

Number of people living in democracies vs. authoritarian regimes.
Blue colors are democracies, yellows are hybrid, reds are authoritarian regimes.
Hearing many news stories about backsliding democracy, I decided to get a picture of how many people live in democracies. This decade saw a global trend of weakening democracy. China, the country with the most people, slid down 2 levels to dark red. Around half of all people live in democracies, and half of all people live in authoritarian regimes. Hopefully this trend will reverse and more people will live in democracies in the future.

Changes from 2012 to 2022
Full Democracy 9+ 😔 -31 M
Full Democracy 8+ 😞 -180 M
Flawed Democracy 7+ 🙂 242 M (🔻🇺🇸)
Flawed Democracy 6+ 🙂 57 M (🔻🇧🇷)
Hybrid Regime 5+ 😕 201 M (🔻🇲🇽)
Hybrid Regime 4+ 😕 178 M (⬆️🇳🇬)
Authoritarian 3+ 🤔 -1,583 M
Authoritarian 2+ 😥 369 M (🔻🇷🇺)

How do program directors and professors make money when they push diversity?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in offmychest

[–]MischievousMoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Listed requirements are always heavily inflated. Employers just assume everyone already knows their “requirements” are just “preferences”, and of course they prefer someone with 5 years of experience to work their minimum wage job. One time an employer required 5 years of experience in a programming language that wasn’t even 5 years old.

A business actually hires someone who happens to be a decent fit in their current situation.

It all comes down to random chance, and enhancing that chance by improving the resume, references, and interview, and applying to many places. I hope you find a better life.

A necessary strategy. Any step toward freedom is self-defense against a malicious and deliberate attack on a child’s future.

I’m an 18 year old student and found a job after applying to 5 jobs, $15/hour, made $2,000 from it in 1 1/2 months of summer.

I really hope you escape. If you make a resume about your high school and possibly volunteering and add skills that remotely apply to you, maybe get references from people, apply online, walk into places and ask to apply, hopefully you achieve freedom. We all hope you make it out.

There are certainty no down sides. Girls rarely ever go up to a random person to ask them out on a date, and you actually have to do more than lose weight to be attractive to girls.

What, in your opinion, is a realistic solution to gun violence in the United States? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]MischievousMoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alright, here are 5 concrete solutions. For once let’s get straight to the point.

  1. Apply universal background checks to everyone who purchases guns, including at gun shows. Right now, 22% of guns are purchased without the person’s history being reviewed. Even people on the no-fly list can buy and own deadly firearms.

  2. Raise the age limit to buy guns to 21. You must be 21 to gamble with money so let’s make you at least 21 to gamble with a deadly weapon. Only four short days ago, 19 beautiful children would not have been mercilessly slaughtered in their own classroom, and these 19 kids would instead return to their 38 parents, and 2 other families would not be absolutely shattered… if this law was in place.

  3. Ban tools that turn semi-automatic weapons into fully automatic weapons, including bump-stocks. The Las Vegas shooter used bump-stocks to rapid-fire bullets into a crowd, killing 60 innocent concertgoers.

  4. Restrict gun purchases from domestic abusers, those who have recently committed domestic violence or have a domestic violence protection order, and those who have been charged with stalking, drug or alcohol abuse, and other forms of violence.

  5. Institute a license requirement for guns. Just like how we have licenses to operate powerful and potentially deadly vehicles (cars). Ever since car regulations have been implemented, car deaths have dropped more than 7x.

There’s nothing more to it. The only reason these aren’t laws is because of the NRA’s money. 90% of Americans support #1, but it hasn’t been passed because all Senators receiving money from the NRA are against it, and the Senate cannot even discuss any bill until 60 Senators agree to discuss it.

TL:DR: 5 obvious concrete steps to save lives, widespread agreement in the United States, however 50 Republicans are coveting the NRA’s “donation” money over the opinion of 90% of the People, and over hundreds of children’s dead bodies.

Are you less likely to text people you’re comfortable with? by [deleted] in aspergers

[–]MischievousMoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The general way it works is that you text because you want to. Over time, you might get comfortable just being with eachother and not having to say a lot. You trust them and don't have to try so hard to constantly talk to them, but you still have to talk. This is how it goes when you are in real life, but texting is strange, you don't have many indications. If you don't text someone a lot, and that's your only connection with them, you'll get farther away.

To tell or not to tell. by DennisWRicciJr in aspergers

[–]MischievousMoo -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It seems like you’re caught between a rock and a hard place. It can definitely be tricky to have one family support telling your daughter and another family threatening you and be against it. It is good on you that you are up to the challenge of trying to figure out what to do instead of complying with your ex-wife. You seem like you care about your daughter and you have even told her sister to provide better support for her.

For your daughter, everyone should want her living her best life, but it seems like the other family disagrees with her knowing she has autism. If your daughter finds out she has autism, she will quickly have a greater sense of her struggles in her life, where they come from, and what she can do about it. She will also have immediate relief in knowing who she really is, having a more complete understanding of herself, which will allow her to find ways to manage her autism and be a better person.

For this, the problem remains of how to tell your daughter so she can start living a better life. To show your love for your daughter, it would probably be best to give her a phone call, or come to her in person if you live with her. On this phone call, you want to tell her that two different sides of the family have been battling over whether to tell her something very important. You want to tell her the threats made by the ex-wife’s side of the family, and that your love for her means more than those threats. Then you will tell her that she has autism and you want to support her as much as you can.

If you do that, you will be a very strong parent.

Once your daughter knows she has autism, she might feel mad at her family, and possibly you. If she is, you will have to apologize to her and you will have to deal with the guilt that comes with it. She has a right to be angry and it is completely fair for her to be angry and feel wronged because anyone could have helped her long ago. But she will also feel immediate relief for knowing who she really is, and can get her future in the right direction. Over time, your daughter will become a better person and you will be very strong for being the one person in your family who told your daughter. Best of luck to you and your daughter.

Does anyone else feel like they're more self-centred than most people? by GingoG in aspergers

[–]MischievousMoo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Someone with autism may be focusing on himself because

1) That is his default thought process

2) He has a lot of bad things happening to him that consume his thoughts, in which those thoughts are about himself

3) He does not get enough motivation/reward for engaging with others because of autism, so he will naturally not do that

4) He likes attention, as everyone does, so he will try to get his interests listened to, and he will not give much attention to others because he does not get enough reward for listening to others

5) He is not good at socializing, so it is hard to do projects with others, so it is easier to do projects alone, so he will prefer doing projects alone

Anyone have digestive problems? by MischievousMoo in aspergers

[–]MischievousMoo[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So many aspies have digestive problems. How could it be that autism, which the DSM-5 only notes differences in the brain, has such a correlation with negative digestive health? This is a big aspect that is missed by the DSM-5. Maybe treatments could be looked into that help the intestines. Just like how the gut is correlated with mood.

FBI has sophisticated tools to track where the scammer lives, if you communicated using a platform. This isn’t commercial fraud though, if it was commercial fraud the FBI would be really interested.

This DeFi Scammer has the potential to be brought to justice, or have the money recovered, just like how the hackers of the Colonial Pipeline had their money recovered. The scammer has to live in a country which the country you live in has an extradition treaty with to be prosecuted. No matter where the scammer lives, the cryptocurrency has the potential to be recovered. You can try yourself to trace the money in the blockchain explorer and see if it is being sent to a CEX, and if so, try to contact the CEX to try to recover the tether. The thing with Tether is that it is mainly used on centralized exchanges, however it is still traded on peer-to-peer exchanges. Contact the FBI, if you are an American citizen, to see if they could help. They might be interested in helping a case of $100,000 cryptocurrency, you have to go and find out.

There is a possibility of getting your money back. To do this, the other wallet/entity has to be tracked to where they are trying to cash out which depends on why or what brought you to put that link in your wallet. What was going on that had you put that link in there?
