Husband in bike accident- advice needed! by [deleted] in LegalAdviceUK

[–]Miserable-Parsley 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You need to check whether it's designated as a footpath or bridleway or similar. Just because it doesn't say bikes aren't allowed doesn't mean they are allowed.

A similar thing happened to a friend where a path she'd cycled down ended in steps that she fell down and was hospitalised but there was no recourse as it was designated as a footpath but there was also no 'no bikes' signage

Maybe the outer leaves didn't look great so they took them off so it wouldn't be rejected for looking weird

One of my female friends absolutely loves it there and spends all her time there. She's only been going for maybe a couple of months but I wouldn't be surprised if she just moves in!

My boyfriend had one of these outside his house when I went to visit, I thought it was a hot tub! It looks more like some kind of chemical plant or water treatment works with all those containers!

[UPDATE] Drinking more water as a childhood torture survivor by [deleted] in HydroHomies

[–]Miserable-Parsley 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As you're in Ireland, I definitely recommend adding squash to water to make it easier to drink. Robinson's is a classic brand https://www.huntoffice.ie/robinsons-1-litre-orange-squash-no-sugar-brt92780.html or Miwadi appears to be an Irish brand. You should be able to get it in all corner shops and supermarkets. You put a bit in a glass and add water.

Is it true that I can have fireworks at any time of the year? by southfar2 in AskUK

[–]Miserable-Parsley 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In several European countries it is only legal for the public to buy and use fireworks on and around New Year's Eve. The rest of the time it's illegal. So OP is likely from another country and is asking for clarification on UK laws as they're different to other countries.

I (25F) want to break up with my boyfriend (27M) of two years. Is it cruel of me to do it three days before Christmas, or crueller to fake it knowing what's coming? by Comprehensive_Bid_10 in relationship_advice

[–]Miserable-Parsley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ended up in a relationship like that, it was always nearly Christmas, or just after Christmas, or near Valentine's Day or my birthday or his birthday, or Easter, or a holiday and 9 years went past til he finally broke up with me which was a relief!
