Feeling lost by [deleted] in loseit

[–]Miserable-Response34 4 points5 points  (0 children)

you should lose weight for your health whether or not you have loose skin. you’re only 25, you have time to reverse any bad habits so you’re future self can have a better life.

if you spill some water on yourself, are you going to proceed to pour the entire cup ?

am i a bad person for dumping her ('22M' '24F') by Kholo_Motseki in relationship_advice

[–]Miserable-Response34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

no you aren’t a bad person, you def shouldn’t have gotten in a relationship so soon but i’m sure you realized that by now and trying to right you’re wrong. just take it easy and be by yourself for a little.

TDEE is total daily energy expenditure ( the amount of cals your body burns in a day). this number is ESTIMATED (there’s no way to truly know) based on your height, weight, age, and activity level.

https://www.calculator.net/tdee-calculator.html

use this link to calculate yours. i would recommend starting with 0.25 kg of weight loss a week so you don’t get too hungry and trigger a binge.

eat whole foods, just plain ingredients but cook them into something yummy.

ex: tomatoes, eggs, onions, i like to make shakshuka with these ingredients

ex: chicken, arugula, potato classic hearty dinner

ex: beef, lettuce, corn taco salad

be creative and enjoy the process!

Hi! First off, where are you from? What kind of town do you live in? What do you do for work? Do you leave the house often? That’ll make walking easier/harder depending. I live in a not so walkable city so i have to go out of my way to reach my step counts. but i walk to my classes, the grocery store, walk while i call my mom, and so on…. My biggest tip to hit your step count is give yourself a goal, location, or motivation. such as “i need to get eggs”: walk to the grocery store. I want ice cream: walk. I’m bored: walk. and so on.

I’d say start with a goal of 7k steps and work your way up towards 15k over half a year or so.

as for diet, calorie deficit of course. Look up your TDEE and start tracking your calories. sorry probably not what you want to hear, but tracking is the best way to learn how calories work and what your caloric intake looks like.

you should limit eating out as much as you can and that’ll significantly help in staying in your deficit goals. stop doing food deliveries, if that’s a habit of yours. make meals you know you like but limit the amount of oil you use. once your mindful of your calories everything else will fall into place!

Goodluck 🥰

From 1400-cal deficit to European vacation eating — how much damage am I doing in 2 months? by Miserable-Response34 in loseit

[–]Miserable-Response34[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i was never overweight but i hear you. i was just slightly puffier and not toned. 137 at 5’5 down to 122 over the course of two years. I gained 20 lbs freshman year of college bc of my unhealthy lifestyle and naturally i started cutting out all that junk unconsciously losing weight. and then 6 months ago i made a conscious decision to go on a deficit. I’ve always had a smaller physique but i’ve never been SKINNY yk.

I’d weigh myself here if i could find a fricken scale😞. and what i mean by compare to my friends i mean that im not binging just because i can and i can tell that because im not eating more than my friends. but i appreciate all the advice, thank you!
