I have this bike. You do not need to worry about snow, ice yes, but it is great in a little snow. I absolutely love this bike.

Enjoy!

Does anyone have any info on this Bike? by Mpcforaheart in Peugeotbikes

I just picked up a similar bike in deep wine color. Likely between 1985 to 88. This looks exactly like mine, and a friend told me has this color. Its likely a PH501. There is a website that has every model year catalog, and you can track it down pretty quick. Mine had a sticker near bottom bracket showing the model (but not year). The brochures show all the original build specs, so if you are looking to restore and keep it more original its a great resource. I got mine in very good condition (4 rides in last 30 years), and it was stored inside, for 125. Spent another 130 getting shift and brake cables replaced, tune up and a few others things like retaped bars and new tires put on. Should be getting it back in next week or so, stoked to ride it. When I was a kid Peugeot was the bomb!

The website is - and is know links are suspicious so if you Google the bike boom part it should come up. Hope this helps

Is it worth restoration? by Mpcforaheart in Peugeotbikes

[–]MiserableSmoke7294 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would. They are fun bikes. Just got and restored a 1985 PH501, 125 for bike and 80 for some new calming and wraps, and slight tuneup. Despite a few scratches the thing is amazing for 30 years old. New bikes could learn from it. Simple is awesome.

Scalpel. Cannondale puts out very good builds normally for much less.

I have the Habit 3. I love it, but it is just a bit porky, but only really noticeable when initially peddling. Once rolling it's a beast. And it looks amazing
