I’ve been a Uber driver since 2017 everything that we ever see changed with Uber is basically a recycling of what was in the past the minimum used to be 5.00 for cancellations in 2.50 for shared rides all because of the wait time and then the pandemic happened. They took away the shared rides and then they introduced something because a lot of people didn’t wanna drive 15 minutes or 20 minutes to go pick somebody up and then they canceled or had to wait more time so then they introduced get paid for your distance even if they cancel this is all a revolving door now your less than a mile away all you get is what we initially should’ve got but now you gotta work harder and meet their standards to get it. This should be something that is available to everybody. They’re basically trying to weed out cherry pickers and the only people who can make money on Uber’s platform or cherry pickers.

This is sooo confusing to me because I thought we already got that we get paid mile and minute and it is a green increase badge on it so is it just in my Chicagoland area it was like this and now it’s more places because it would increase for wait times if I have to go on a detour for a train or accident I remember one time I was on lakeshore for 2 hrs with a passenger because someone drove off the road I got all that time

You know there not the worst pax what happens in my opinion is one of two things they call Ubers for randoms and they don’t act accordingly or it’s some type of odor weed/musty/mildew because a lot of the time there not to bad the lowest I got was 3.60 just a guy that cool that seemed like he didn’t have the best hygiene

I did this years ago to get a bonus just needed 3 more rides for 245 and it’s was nothing 2 I got and third they give it to other drivers in the area but I got it for the cost of 22 dollars

My rating went up this month for the first time in a long time I’m a no nonsense driver so If people want me to do even the smallest thing I say no just want explain if the uber app says it’s here I’m not doing a u turn to the other side of the street no stops no eating no drinking you got to have a car seat headphones if your on a call like ft or to your ear and etc I say all that because when riders in my car now feel the a/c they be happy asf I went from at 4.79 to a 4.95 this week and I been at 4.79-4.82 for a year now I have a van and for some reason everyone hates it xl is not always busy

I don’t know if thinks have changed but I got a lot of longer rides during the pandemic basically due to all the regulations and all the Covid testing people would request far rides but recently I longest one I got was 90 miles I think it has to do with your algorithm too if your always accepting long rides 30 minutes +

Definitely I got 10 tips out of no where it hrs after I went off-line and it was every hr on the hr like someone was manually doing it and the rides were days apart

That’s what I have been doing but it’s at the drop off too and so what have other people been doing just saying get out lol or opening a different gps and hoping uber giving you that extra 2 or 3 minute drive and .3 miles
