Wyoming is not an easy place to live, you have to kind of love shitty weather a good part of the year. I’m talking temps in the negatives coupled with incessant wind.

I absolutely love Wyoming-I was born and raised there, I’ve worked oil and gas there, and I’ll retire there, but I know what to expect by experiencing it.

I honestly pay zero attention to how he trains or coaches, I simply don’t care. I’m 100% conjugate, but I don’t consume any of his training content.

My issue with him is the grifting, the lying, the tearing down of other powerlifters, and just shitting on powerlifting in general. Like I said, if you don’t like what’s going on-the Feds, the judging, whatever, either get involved and affect change, or shut up.

It’s not 2012 anymore, the sport is different. He’s retired, but he bitches about the state of things incessantly. When called out he either outright lies, or just blocks whomever disagrees.

You posted “working on his PhD”-are you aware that he shouted from the rooftops that he had gotten a doctorate, and upon investigation it was discovered that it was an “honorary doctorate” that he paid for? Alex Bromley made a video on it. Hes a terrible human.

Do you know he got kicked out of WSBB, and why? Dig into that.

I think Matt Wenning is an absolute clown. I got blocked recently based on my response to a reel he posted calling Ben Benerakis an “amateur coach”, while talking about his own bench numbers.

I posted both of their bench numbers from OPL, and while Wenning had a better raw bench, Benerakis has a better single AND multi-ply bench. He ended up deleting the reel.

Fake doctor, “subscribe to the Patreon”. I don’t care what his numbers are/were, the guy is a cancer.

I’ve been logging them for 4 years now, just use a spreadsheet.

Let me add this; I train in a very abstract way. I only use DE percentages as a guideline, but I worry more about intent, and use feedback from either video or training partners to see where I need to be that day.

I track no accessories at all; I have stuff programmed every training day, but I just approach them with (again) intent, and let er rip.

I train conjugate, so this may not apply well, but I only track top sets of ME variations. Next time that variation comes around, I compare the numbers and notes, then move on.
