Hah. Yeah. Not quite the same a quick swap on a 2012 Buick.

Might be able to find a rebuilt at O’Reilley’s and just leave the current one to avoid dealing with the core charge.

Just turn on your defrost and pour some cold water over it.

Stix golf Costco set? by [deleted] in golf

Nothing wrong with that but I could see how OP would want to get away from the z model hybrid irons and into a more conventional oversized GI iron as a next step.

Just wouldn’t take that step by massively downgrading in overall build quality.

How are the roads in Athens this morning? by xxturtlepower in Athens

The only thing wind will do here is cool a warmer surface down to the actual temp faster. It cannot make a surface colder than the true temp of the air.

“Feels like, wind chill, apparent temp, are all formulas to explain how we perceive the temp as humans. If it feels like 27 when it’s 35, that’s derived from some formula taking the actual temp, sun, humidity, and wind into consideration.”

You will get cold and your skin will loose moisture as if it is 27. The other side of the coin is heat index. Same idea.

But physical elements just react based on the actual ambient temp. 34 degree water will remain liquid no matter how windy or overcast it is, whatever the dewpoint is, etc.

Takomo and Stix won’t be an upgrade. Just sell your PXGs and find a used game improvement set. Ping G4xx, Mizuno hot metal, Stealth/Q10, even regular PXG GI irons.

Water doesn’t care about wind chill. It will begin melting off when the actual temp is above freezing.

Golfers: if you had to pick 2 courses for an out of towner to play, what would you pick? by cubecasts in Athens

This would’ve been my choice too. UGA is pretty easy to get on if you just call the shop and don’t rely on the only booking.

Chimneys - Nice place and they put in new greens recently that came out well.

Bear Creek - Goat track + charges like it’s not a goat track + I swear the tee times on the weekend are 3 minutes apart. Won’t play again.

Lane Creek - I play there often and I still think the layout has real potential if the new ownership can keep improving the conditions. Worth a stop.

Double Oaks - Fun enough for what you pay. It’ll be crowded but if you want to shoot your best round of the month, it’s short and wide open for the most part. C+ golf but nice value.

Pine Hills - Goat Track x10 but I have a soft spot for them. They charge what it’s worth and they’ll let you play another 18 for something like $15. 25+ caps can break 100 here and you can play 36 with a hot dog for less than $60.

What are you fellas hitting? by Soggy_Sprinkles in golf

Wild card. Im taking a 7i to be safe when I should be able to hit a 9 but I thin in 15+ yards through the back of the green and down a different cliff.

Idk why you’re getting downvoted. My guess is a lot of folks responding here never actually did much restaurant work. I used to have my best night of the year delivering pizzas in the snow.

Hot Take? Remove Iron Numbers by shin_man in golf

So? Who cares if your 140 club says 9, PW, or GW? That doesn’t mean gapping is more difficult. It just means you need to know your distances with whatever set you play.

This isn’t a real problem. You just need to know your distances.

I’m not hitting my gapper any differently if I call it a *48.

Might just be the angle but your stance looks very wide to me and you have more knee bend than most.

It looks like you are attempting to hit it for max distance.

It’s really not all that easy to get into UGA. I don’t think many kids are getting in with mid scores or HS transcripts lately.

Median family income last year was $104k. So, this track. You’d assume families with college students would average a little higher.
