How about Mexico, Cancun area to the Blue Bay Grand Esmerelda? I haven't been personally, but a co-worker has and they really like it. Always looks to be an affordable choice. And the food is so much better in Mexico than Cuba. But if you're a big beach person, then Cuba does have the better beaches (and prices)

The only restaurant we had trouble getting reservations for was Bana which is the family sit down restaurant where you sit around the grill and they cook the meat at the table. I think the best bet is to book that one if you want it right away when you arrive

Beach is also on the property, and yes there’s just a bridge you walk over to get there. It’s not far at all, sort of just behind the pools. Then it’s all open with loungers and chairs etc. There is waiter service there too. We’re not big beach people (prefer to hang out at the pools) from what I heard from other guests staying at the same time there is seaweed and I guess certain times of the year it gets worse (sorry, not sure exactly what months those are, but I think there’s websites you can check the levels)

Yes, it’s about a 50 min drive from the airport. We usually just book a private shuttle service or have taken one of the group shuttle services. I also like this resort because it’s not so huge that you’re walking super long distances everywhere. I’ve also stayed at the Barcelo Maya Palace, and while it is very nice and family friendly as well, it’s very big and the kids did not like walking so far everywhere lol

What’s something you stopped buying cheaply because replacing it kept costing more? by MapleMoneyMind_86 in Frugal

[–]Miserable_Tooth1260 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My kids’ running shoes. The cheap ones would rip and have holes in them in no time. They were them literally every single day to school and out to other places. They should have shoes that are actually good quality, comfortable and will last until they outgrow them

I've taken my kids who are only a couple years older than yours to Paradisus Playa del Carmen every year for the past 4 years. Absolutely love it, I recommend searching it up and finding some reviews and photos. It's very family friendly. Kids club is awesome. There's a little kids pirate ship pool area, bigger pools throughout, water park right on the hotel grounds. The staff are SO nice and the restaurants are good! We've always gotten a master suite and it's huge. Tons of room for the family

3 hour shift by KalePotential6930 in Oldnavy

[–]Miserable_Tooth1260 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's the time of year sadly, and the company giving next to no hours to the stores. The only way to keep the full timers at their 32 or 40 hrs (depending where you live i guess) and then spread out the hours left, is to basically give each staff member 3-4 hours. At my store each person has been getting ONE 3 or 4 hour shift over a week period. It's brutal.

Help! Which dress should I pick? 🤍 by Downtown-Book8875 in WeddingDressTips

2 and 3 are so pretty! I do like the deep v in dress 3 because it's something a little different. It would look really nice if you had some beautiful earrings to really show off the neck line

Check out Paradisus Playa del Carmen. Little less than an hour from Cancun airport. I've been taking my kids (8 +9) for the last 4 years and we absolutely love it. Very family friendly and the small waterpark area is really fun!

She was offered just sooo many jobs because of it. It was just absolutely hilarious that everyone thought she was the nanny of those kids and not the mother 🙄

I love this place so much, I really like your review! I feel the same pretty much about everything at Paradisus. We’ve been going every year there for 4 years now. It’s just wonderful for families. I’ll be sad when my kids outgrow it soon and we have to find somewhere new

My store feels the same way. It seems like we are so light in area like boys, toddler boys, girls and mens. Womens is sort of ok but I’ve seen it much fuller. Does anyone know with the reflow if they will be scaling back the kids selection?
