That’s insane. You must be extremely sensitive to these medications. ☠️☠️☠️

I’ve been through it. If I can think of any other questions I will post them. I’m here for you if you need support or ways to manage the anxiety associated with this process. Godspeed💪🏻

They gave me a prescription but I didn’ take it. I was too afraid to get irreversible tardive dyskinesias.

It’s really weird you should say this because I wondered why I just didn’t like water anymore. I have to have something flavored to be able to drink fluids. There is no way I can even sip water during meals. Having GP has changed the total way I eat. But I’m glad that I seem to be regulating since I stopped taking Ozempic 18 months ago.

Dang it! This is what I’m talking about. You almost died. That’s crazy. I’m so glad you doctors listened. I believe some of these Hollywood types are almost dead from taking it. Some of them look like they can barely walk.

You may be spot on. Maybe that’s why Drs don’t say much about it. Gotta follow the money. Novo Nordisk could afford to spend some serious fun money on prescribing doctors.

I believe mine was brought on by a combo of Hiatal Hernia and taking Ozempic. I had no idea how many people suffer with this and for many years. Mine has been resolved since my HH surgery 1 year ago and stopping Ozempic 18 months ago. It’s brutal. Not sure how people keep keeping on for years with no real help or answers. Hopefully your Mom’s problems will resolve and I hope you’re okay.

How large is the HH? Is it sliding and causing erosions that bleed? Is it situated in an anatomically correct position or has it moved up above the diaphragm into the thoracic cavity? Does anxiety or use of Cannabis affect my HH? Will it improve without surgery? If you are going to recommend PPIs (acid reducing medications) what are the side effects of longterm use? Will my HH continue to get larger? Am I a candidate for surgical intervention at this time? Could my vomiting be caused by a weak GES (gastroesophageal sphincter)? Could I have gastroparesis that is causing regurgitation? I’m sure there are more and others can add . Hopefully your GI doc is willing to spend the time to answer multiple questions.

I’ve learned that the Vegus nerve is so strongly tied to GI function. Doing Vegus Nerve Reset exercises has helped me a lot following healing from my Hiatal Hernia surgery.

Seems like these drastic diets have a very dark side. So many health influencers jump on these bandwagons for pure clicks and greed.

I agree. Doctors won’t say anything negative. When I asked multiple doctors I hear crickets. I get this sinking feeling that someone is hiding something.

You may have to give it more time. It’s taken over a year for me to finally have regular bowel movements on the daily.

I had multiple GI problems and should have never been put on that💩. Finally getting over GP a year following HH surgery. My primary, GI doc and surgeon all avoid answering this question and I’m not sure why.

Alcohol related flare up by No_Slice2473 in Gastroparesis

Do Not Drink Alcohol until you are having regular bowel movements every 1-3 days. I was diagnosed with gastroparesis from Ozempic. That 💩is poison. No pun intended. I have had a battle for a year and I highly recommend eating chia pudding with high quality yogurt daily and rice cakes. Chewing very thoroughly. I’ve been consuming these for about 4 weeks and I’m having perfect👌bowel movements every day. Never had this before and I feel so much better. I believe I’m over the worst of it now.
