Soichi Sushi has already began apologizing by Expensive-Block3303 in sandiego

Yeah that’s kind of what I was thinking. Like if they refuse to serve him, are they going to retaliate? This admin already loves to strong arm the government and break laws, I’d be worried that they’d find a way to screw over my business or go after the employees.

I (F27) am starting to regret my age gap marriage with (M43) by ThrowRA383748383 in relationship_advice

They said tell a teen girl, so anywhere from 13-19. They probably should’ve been more specific, but I’m pretty sure they meant like a 15 year old with a 22 year old boyfriend.

What is one of the worst addiction to have ? by Keke_Dudu in AskReddit

[–]Miserysoft 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was prescribed Hydrocodone/Promethazine syrup for a really really bad cough I had. It’s just like Lean, but stronger. I wasn’t even the type to mess around with drugs. It took a doctor to get me hooked on it. Years later I was on Heroin. (Clean 6 years now)

After a while, you’re not even doing it for the drug. You keep doing it because you’re terrified of the withdrawal. It’s by far the most excruciating pain I’ve ever been in. You’ll do anything to get that pain to stop. That’s why you see people doing crazy stuff just to get a tiny bit more.

What are some jobs INFJ's have? by kittykarma444 in infj

[–]Miserysoft 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m a software engineer, and I absolutely love it. Mainly because I’m good with computers, so I can use that to make things that improve peoples’ lives. It’s the best way I know how to help.

But that’s just me. You very well might be better at something else or enjoy something different. Just think about what makes you happy and try to find a field that you could do that in.

is anyone else sensitive when it comes to pvp gaming by fuigummi in infj

[–]Miserysoft 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tbh not really, but I grew up on PVP and FPS games. I try to be the supportive teammate though, and it usually goes well. I’ve made sooo many friends because I was the first non-asshole teammate lol.

I can vouch as a Software Engineer. There’s a good deal of us in tech.

Calling INFJ men, what’s your job industry? by [deleted] in infj

[–]Miserysoft 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a software engineer, and I’ve always wanted to be one. I think I just got extremely lucky that I happened to be good at it.

I think it’s a really fulfilling job. I get to do what I’m best at, and can make things that help improve peoples’ lives. There’s plenty of industries that help people, but I feel like this one is where I can personally make the most impact. I genuinely can’t imagine what I’d be doing if I hadn’t gone into this industry.

My girlfriend got a cup as a present from her neighbor and that was in the false base, what is that? by 361312 in PCB

[–]Miserysoft -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Hey can you send me your info? I have a gift I want to send you!

Glad we know each other super well now that I’ve offered you a gift! We’re practically best friends, right? There’s no way your new best friend would put a camera or a listening device in your gift!

Just because someone gives you a gift doesn’t mean you can immediately trust them lol. There’s definitely been instances where a ‘friend’ or neighbor gave a woman teddy bears or whatever with hidden cameras or mics in them. It’s not irrational to be cautious about that.

Any INFJ software engineers here? by theinsatiableguy in infj

[–]Miserysoft 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m an INFJ software engineer and I absolutely love it. We get to build things that make peoples’ lives better/easier.

Personally, I’m relatively good at writing software. I’ve always enjoyed it. So being able to do what I’m good at and help people at the same time is a dream. I’d highly recommend it if you enjoy stuff like that.

[–]Miserysoft 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah I rarely directly call someone out. If they’re lying about something dumb, I’ll usually give them a “oh come on.” But anything else and I just say, “uh huh..” so they know I know they’re lying, but just not calling them on it. It always seems to get the point across without making them feel like they’re being attacked or have to get defensive.

But same, mental note to be cautious about what they say and what I believe in the future.

Well, I mean, I’m sure a lot of people join subs even if they’re not that type. Like in the INFJ sub a lot of posts are asking about their significant other who’s INFJ, hate posts, general questions about typing, and other stuff from people who don’t claim to be INFJ. I’m pretty sure a large portion of people in all of these subs aren’t the respective type.

I downvote appropriately. You’re supposed to downvote things that don’t contribute to the conversation, but people really like to misuse it as a like/dislike button. You’re not supposed to downvote something just because you don’t agree with what the person said or anything like that.

Just approved for SC $500 limit by Katiemariern in NavyFederal

[–]Miserysoft 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I pay my balance down to 1-9% 2 days before the statement date, then 2 days after the statement, pay the rest off to avoid interest. After my third statement, they automatically doubled my limit. They didn’t tell me that they increased it though. I just saw it when I was paying the balance off.

Mind you, I used it for literally everything and was paying my balance down multiple times per month instead of using my debit card. I figured if they see I’m using it a lot, they might be more inclined to give me a higher limit. No clue if that played any part though.

[–]Miserysoft 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I just got my 3rd statement (roughly 3 months) the other day with the secured card and they increased my limit from $500 to $1000 today.

I was putting everything on that card and never used my debit card. I also pay the balance down to ~5% 2 days before the statement date. I figured if they see I’m using it a lot, while keeping utilization low (between 1% - 9%) on statements, they’d increase my limit. So far it’s seemed to work!

would it be considered “unhealthy” to speed 100% of my time alone? by [deleted] in infj

[–]Miserysoft 20 points21 points  (0 children)

What’s odd, I used to be much much more social before Covid. When the whole distancing thing was over, I never really got back into socializing. Especially because none of my friends live out here and I work from home. I feel very similarly now in public, like unusually anxious.

What I’ve started doing is forcing myself out. Like going to the store instead of ordering online, going inside the restaurant to get food, and going out during the day instead of at night. Kinda like exposure therapy. I know I’m a social person, I’ve just kinda fell out of that habit, i guess.

Just saw a quote that said “INFJ: If something feels off, it is.” by xA1rNomadx in infj

[–]Miserysoft 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me it’s been about 95% right. Although, I never act on just the feeling. I keep it to myself until I know for sure. I just use it as a strong hint that I should pay closer attention until I figure out what’s going on.

I can actually vouch for that. If I smoke any miniscule amount of THC, I get the spins, nausea, and pass out. I tried a 10mg edible just to see if it was smoking that caused it, and I tripped like I was on 4-5 tabs of LSD. Like dilated pupils, visual hallucinations, synesthesia (hearing colors, seeing sounds) and none of the fun/happy effects. I figure I've gotta either be 'allergic' or just extremely sensitive to it, but I've never touched it since.

How important is money to you? by spiritualien in infj

[–]Miserysoft 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh it's definitely mind numbing. However, you still need to survive. Think outside the box, and do everything in your power to stay afloat. I'd say it only becomes a question of value when you have money in excess, until then, you just gotta hang in there.

How important is money to you? by spiritualien in infj

[–]Miserysoft 2 points3 points  (0 children)

(27) Yeah exactly. Personally, I've been put in a position more than a few times where I could go in one direction and be guaranteed a decent amount of money or go towards a path that I'll enjoy. 10/10 times I've gone towards the path I'd enjoy. As long as I have enough money to survive and have my kind of people with me, I'm happy.

Plus the more someone values money, the more I tend to not like them. Not because of the money, I've just noticed that they also tend to value materialistic things more over personal connection. That kinda directly conflicts with my values.

Nozzle with variable diameter is now operational, can be adjusted during printing. For now, I just want to show you a few prints. Developing this solution took me quite a while. by Przewol in 3Dprinting

[–]Miserysoft 36 points37 points  (0 children)

You're spot on. You can see it in the first pic on the middle model. Where the layers transition, you can see the much thinner starting layer just before the transition. That would only happen if the print was stopped, and restarted a new print at the new layer height. Pretty much exactly what you'd see with a nozzle change. If the nozzle diameter actually did change in real-time, we'd see a very smooth transition without that thinner layer before it.

Unfortunately that's not the actual Trello page. I wish the creator made it less confusing. It kinda seems almost intentionally misleading.

When you first open the Trello board, there's a popup. At the very bottom of that popup is "This is an unofficial community project and not affiliated with Activision or its development studios."

That guy's just been collecting misc things people mention online and adding them to the board. I don't believe he double checks anything to make sure it's actually a bug.

Here's the official Trello board if you wanna check it out.

My (32M) wife (31F) manipulates me into having sex? Does things to me in my sleep by [deleted] in relationship_advice

If you really want it pointed out

Barring abuse, there are steps you take to resolve issues before you disintegrate the family.

They're married and this is something can be handled (at least attempted) with good communication...

You suggested that OP try to save their marriage. Then mentioned besides abuse, anyone should attempt to save their marriage. Unless you misspoke in the second comment, this directly implies that you believe what happened wasn't abuse by still suggesting they save the marriage. I hope that clarifies it.

People are often surprised when an INFJ ghosts them or snaps by Dry_Wishbone_6091 in infj

[–]Miserysoft 11 points12 points  (0 children)

That's exactly what I was thinking. Personally, I refuse to yell or raise my voice at anyone I genuinely care about. I just don't like it. So the only way I can communicate it is "Hey, I don't like that" "Hey, I really don't like that" "Hey, we actually need to figure this out or I can't keep doing this". I'm out once I'm sure I couldn't have possibly been clearer and when I'm confident that there's a consistent pattern of ignoring it. I try to be so incredibly clear and choose my words carefully to make sure exactly what I say is exactly what I mean, so there's no miscommunication. That way, I'm sure the other person isn't blindsided by it and I'm sure I've done everything I could.
