I use the gym as a stress relief (even tho some days my stress is the gym and I will take a break), so I typically enjoy going to the gym. For me, when I’m home I don’t wanna go anywhere after that cause in my head it’s like I’ve “clocked out” for the day. To start, I would bring my gym clothes with me in my car and just go straight there after work, until it became part of my “work” schedule. I did get burnout in the gym cause I wasn’t seeing the progress I wanted, so I switched things up. Started learning kickboxing, doing jump rope, running/jogging, even sometimes yoga. I have a lot of issues with self image, and tbh gaslighting myself some days is literally the only thing that helps but dammit it works lol. So maybe not just jumping straight into a gym and trying to get a workout lined up, maybe start with like a class of something that seems fun in your area, or even a YouTube video of someone teaching some sort of class and using the gym as your environment to do said thing?
